Re: HTC Touch screen not responding!
This is a common problem with many touch screen phones. There are about three reasons this can happen that I know of:
1. Hardware issue. Needs to go in for repair. Hopefully under warranty still.
2. Needs to be re-flashed with the OEM ROM. This is not likely, since you've already Hard Reset, but worth a try.
3. The EASIEST and FIRST thing to check is to run a 'business card' around the edge of the screen between the case and screen. Dirt or other objects can easily get wedged into that area and hold the screen pressed down. This would prevent a press from any other area of the screen. Also, a screen protector that has shifted might cause this. Hopefully this is it, as it's a simple fix!
Sloution: hey friends my htc p3400i was fell a little on bed after that its touch screen used to work ocassionally, i went to repair shop he told its touch sensor has to be replaced in 600/-, i was damm sure my touch sensor might not be damaged so i puchased screw driver set and opened my mobile, there is one site u can find on google which has service manual of all PDA's. As i was thinking the problem was same the connection was loose i tightened it by cello tape as the scew was broken(i think earlier when my screen was cracked the rapirer chaged many things in my ciuitery as it was not looking fresh one, though it was a new phone), and now its working fine....i m too happy.
I am having htc p3450 touch mobile, last day i bought a new mobile pouch for it, it was tight one then i kept my mobile in that tight case for one night, the next day the touch screen dint work please send me the solution

Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons If you can't turn HTC One V on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One V. 1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button. 2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons. 3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button. HTC One V not responding? If HTC One V frozen and does not respond when you touch the screen or press the buttons, you can still restart it by press and hold the POWER button for at least 10 seconds, and then release it. HTC One V then restarts.
Your touch pad need to be replaced. I had the same problem and order a complete face lift which includes the touch pad from ebay. It was included aslo the special tools needed to remove the screws. There many videos showing how to desasemble the phone in youtube, just search with your model and you will find videos showing all the dtails how. Please not that the problem is with touch pad which is the one you touch directly on it, is only vinil cover and is working as a keyboard. Under touch pad is located the lcd display of the phone which other part .
ur touch panel is faulty u have to go to service centre , there are 3 things coupled together Lcd screen then touch panel and then front housing for protection of both , u might dropped it , if ur screen is working partially i mean if it responds to taps at some region of screen then it may be a dust inside the housing u have to clean it from inside if u can , otherwise if it completely not responding then it is faulty touch panel , it will cost u around 50 , 60 $
I have had the same problem but have finally got past the alignment screen by putting a new text document called welcome.not onto the memory card. At least the phone is working now, but the screen is not. HTC have sent me the phone back wanting £360 because they say it is water damaged even though it is less than 12 months old.
