Do i start ontopo head or bottom

Hello There,

My best friend is a hairdresser and he's taught me to be be self sufficient as he lives on the other side of the country. Okay I believe it generally makes everything easier if you start from the bottom and work up ( that goes for heat straightening and curling your hair, or one colour dying your hair. Use sectioning clips to to keep the hair out of the way as you work upwards). As for the highlighting kit, the same rules apply, start at the bottom and work up. Put the cap with the holes in it on ( before applying the cap, I would comb and part my hair the way I wear it: side part, centre part, etc). Next use your hook tool to pull out ( from the base of the cap up) little highlights of hair. Be gentle with long hair, slide it out carefully through the hole...you don't want to tug too hard as you will enlarge the hole and cause scalp / dye leakage. I would recommend pulling out the width of two pieces of spaghetti ( anymore and they look like skunk stripes) . When you get around your face, become a little less symmetrical / the sun is random so pick your pieces carefully :) !! The shows metal sectioning clips ( I have at least 12 at most times they make all hair work lighting fast). They are available at most beauty supply stores, chemists, etc. I prefer the metal to the plastic ones because they really hug your head and are lighter and cheaper. It's a little tip but you'll love me for it <3 Good luck thrifty gals everywhere!! 042ab3d1-ec35-42da-b08e-8908d2994abc.jpg

I have Matrix SoRed SoColor and I am a level 6. I am going to lighten my hair to a level 7. Can I deposit just the SoRed by itself or do I need to buy a SoColor in red level 7 then add in the SoRed or can...

when you're using so red the color you need to use a 20 volume creme developer.you miss that one the one so you put one ounce color one ounce developer and then you mix it thoroughly working on your hair from root to ends.can you process at 45 minutes you brant with cool water until the color rinses all the way to cure your hair runs clear then shampoo with professional shampoo and use lukewarm water and you wash your hair the longer your color will last you should only wash your hair 2 to 3 times at the most a week and I am a licensed cosmetologist.

Okay I have a question. I just died my hair with color charm the burgundy color and now I want to hight light it using Color Charm T11 Blonde beige. Can I do that? Thats what they told me at the store....

If you're not familiar with this process, you really should have it done by a licensed professional. Unless your hair is short, the cap method for highlighting has a tendency to "bleed" onto seemingly protected hair, yielding unwanted results. Using foils is recommended. At the very worst you could damage your scalp and hair.
