While salts are not required, if you don't have water it won't clean your plates very good, and will also burn our your pumps.

Everything looks like its working but when i close the door nothing happens....... was working fine yesterday and had full salts/liquid put in in January

  • ImJustAvg Jul 20, 2011

If nothing happens when you close the door, first check your power and make sure nothing has tripped or that it has come unplugged. If that is okay, the next thing you need to check is that the door switch is engaging.

  • phillip wlash Jul 20, 2011

I was engaging but i have messed with it an now the latch is stuck down and the door no longer closes :-(((

  • ImJustAvg Jul 20, 2011

Ouch! If you take a small screwdriver and GENTLY pry up on the latch, it might disengage. But don't put a lot of pressure on it. If that doesn' work you will have to take the panel off to reset it from the inside.

But be careful because you have voltage inside that cover!

Just moved into a house with fitted NEFF dishwasher, never had one before and no manual left. Where do salts go? Thanks

Hi there,

The salt goes in the salt compartment in the base of the dishwasher. Open the door and pull the lower basket out. You should then be able to see a cap near the front-left corner of the base of the dishwasher. Unscrew this cap (anti-clockwise) and fill the compartment with salt all the way to the top - or with as much salt as you have in the packet - then screw the cap back on firmly, but do not over-tighten it. The salt compartment will (or should!) be full of water and some will spill out as you fill it with salt. This is totally normal and not indicative of any problem.

Do not use any type of salt which is not sold specifically for dishwashers. The dishwasher can be used without salt but it is not advised and may result in a white film being left on your cutlery, glassware and/or dishes.

It may also be possible to provide a user manual in PDF format which you can download, but I would need to know the model number. If you don't know the model number Most Neff/Bosch dishwashers have the model number laser-etched into the stainless-steel at the top of the inner-door or the rim of the washing compartment. Please click on the link below for a guide to locating the model number of your dishwasher. (Neff is a Bosch owned brand)

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you would like the manual or need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

The dishwasher is not cleaning properly, glasses look like they have a film on them, plates also do not look clean & the dishwasher has a foul smell.. like rotting food in it.. we use the top quality...

Check the main drain system connected to the dish washer hose pipe. Clean the junction if clogged. This smell might orginate from the pipe.

Check incoming water quality. If hard water is noticed, use softener attachments to the inlet.

Fill dish washer salt in the dispenser. Refer user guide. The salt will help softening the water to certain extent. Finally check whether rinse aid dispenser filled with the rinse aid liquid.

Accidentally put normal dishwashing liquid in the rinse aid space

Hello,

The amount you have put in although not good is not too serious. You can try putting nothing in dispenser for a few washes and see how that goes.If you are using the 3 or 4 in one tablets you should not need to dose with rinse aid or salt as it is in the tablets.

Hope that helps.

Put rock salt in instead of dishwasher salt wat damage has been done if any

Salt? Why are you using salt to begin with? Why are you not using the liquid soaps etc. If your one of those all natural people i use all natural liquid etc. Salt is corrosive and parts that are not stainless steel will corrode quickly!

Dishwasher not draining (neff slimline intergrated)

I had this problem and eventually after trying everything short of pulling the dishwasher out and checking the hoses I tried Finish Dishwasher Cleaner. Much to my surprise, IT WORKED.

Hi there.

Check salt and rinse-aid levels first. Often there is an indicator if either of these falls below a level.

When was the last time you filled them?

Top up rinse aid to mark, and add at least 1kg of salt.
Run M/c on a quick cycle and see if it's back to normal.

Hope this helps you.
