I am looking for disassembly instructions.

The black ink cartridge cracked, from unknown reasons, while inside the printer. The printer is a mess! I want to disassemble the printer and clean it out. Thanks for any help you can provide. Charlie

1. Plug in and turn on the printer.
2. When you lift the cover of the printer, the cartridges will center themselves where they can be easily reached.
3. There will be a little 'flap' over each cartridge, lift it from the front and the cartridge should 'pop out'. Good Luck!
(ps. installation is the reverse).

Iv changed my ink cartridge and now it wont print it keeps saying ink cartridge has been changed

I just got mine working again. Solution: You have to disassemble your Printer. Take a close look at the small round motor inside. Their is a small toothed wheel attached to the shaft of the motor - mine was already lying inside the printer. This wheel hast to be replaced by a tighter fitting one or the original one has to be fixed to the shaft - I used glue, as i had no new wheel.

I have refilled the colour and black cartridges and the printer is not recognising the colour cartridge is refilled what can I do

A step you can try is to take a piece of paper or paper towel and wrap the color cartridge in it and then vigorously shake it.

Essentially what you are doing is forcing the ink to the bottom of the well and this way the sensor inside the printer will recognize ink. If this does not work you may need to disassemble the printer and clean out the heads where the ink cartridge fits.

My epson stylus photo printer is printing a black vertical line in all my prints. I have done the head cleaning and print head alignment several times. Is there anything else I can do?

black vertical lines on the printout comes due to some reasons.
1) if the black cartridge is near to its end it will give black lines instead of proper printing.
the cartridges gets over many times due to head cleaning and deep 3-4 cleanings cartridge gets one cleaning 4 ml of ink gets puled out of cartridge.the whole quantity of cartridge is near to 25 ml.
but if the cartridge is full then the problem is of cartridge head .the head is the part in which you insert the cartridges if the head is got blocked internally to its holes from where ink comes out.then there are two methods to clean the head one is head cleaning which you did.the other is removing the head by disassembling the printer and then cleaning the head manually with isoprophyll liquid.but its a time consuming and tough job.a local printer repair center will be advisable,
and in some cases it has seen that cartridge gets air pressure problem inside and due to that it leaks inside the printer so replacing that cartridge solves the problem.also many times the cartridge gets leaked and that leaked ink gets collected and stuck up on the roller of the printer from where paper passes so the strips of ink gets printed on the this case no head cleaning but cleaning the internal roller of the printer with tissue paper helps.the procedure is called servicing.that can also be done at local printer repair center.or you can do it manually by using tissue paper.but to service whole printer it needs to be disassemble.
check out his option.thanks.

Cartridge World Black Ink Cartridge

Depends on how tech savvy you are. Even if you can dissassemble it you will get ink all over yourself, you must wash out the clean sponge inside and then wash the other parts in alcohol then hope you can put it back together. Buy another and NEVER get refills or refurbs again. They can also clog your printer head or the ink jets. Some never have problem and some have nothing but problems.

Refilled cartridge not printing

Try to cartridge manually ,please follow the instructions :

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Will print but black ink real lite.

Assuming you have and INK JET PRINTER the heads are probably clogged or you cartridges are empty.
If the heads are clogged there is no easy way to clean them. If you don't mind the mess and you can put model cars together without instructions - go for it. Otherwise you may be looking at a new printer.

Refilling cartridge ink

First off you need to re-set the IC on the cartridge, for this you will have to purchase a Chip re-setter, google it on the net or check here for links

filling the cartridge is easy, but you need to get the right ink or you will mess up the printer head, normally when you order ink it will have the instructions, avoid kits that tell you that their ink is universal

The cartridge cannot be filled from the bottom, looking at the top of the cartridge almost directly above the were the ink comes out, you can see / feel an indent in the plastic label, stick the needle / filler in there - it should take about 6 - 8 ml of ink - you might find it better to try and fill the cartridge by facing it up, so that the ink can flow to the back, do it slowly, take a break if need be, you will be able to judge when it is full.

The Colour carts fill the same as the black, the colour code is correct on the original cartridge - Blue, Red Yellow (not like the sneaky HP carts)

C4280 printer photo cartridge instalation help

The extra cartridge you bought was probably the number 99 cartridge, if I'm not mistaken.

The cartridge actually replaces your black cartridge. Inside of the cartridge has black ink as well as the special photo ink.

I hope this helps
