Question about Asko Dishwashers

1 Answer

The rollers of the top shelf of my ASKO dishwasher are worn out and catching and likely need replacement. Can I get the spare parts and replace them myself? If not, where can I get ASKO service in Toronto, Canada?

Front top panel broken on ASKO model 1375 where can i get a replacement

Parts of that type might be hard to get for this model.

Try this site and select the part based on your dishwasher finish.

Dishwasher rack falls off

Could it be that KitchenAid wants you to replace the entire rack? Check with a local appliance parts supplier if you can because the roller must be a hot replacement item.

Need top left shelf runner. fell to bits

Hello, This is common with Asko after a period of use, the heat makes the plastic pieces brittle over time or amount of use. If you still have the ball bearings good, ( 4 per side ) keep them and you'll only need to replace the gray plastic pieces known as the guide rail "ball holders". If you don't have all the ball bearings, get yourself a telescopic magnet and make sure one or more hasn't found it's way into the wash or drain pump as they have a tendency to do so. This obviously can and will cause serious problems because the wash & drain impellers are plastic...steel vs. plastic = not good. The Asko part number for the holder is 8058638 and should come as individuals so order 2, one for each side. The ball bearings are # 8057977 and as mentioned, require 4 on each rail/side. As for where ? I use Amre Supply, so you could check out their on-line availability at amresupply.com if you'd like. Hope that helps solve your problem. Thank you for coming to "fixya" for your solution. Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck. macmarkus :)

Hi, you'd have to start by providing a make and model & serial number. Check out repairclinic.com, amresupply.com or searspartsdirect.com to name a few, but there are many more on-line appliance part vendors if you do a search with your make & model. Hope that help's. Let me know and thanks for coming to fixya. Please reply with a model number for more help and rate the info you received here today. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

I need a replacment lower dish rack for Asko 1385. It is on back order everwhere I can find it.

Hi Robinnor,

Most spare parts companies won't hold every item they carry in stock - particuarly if it's for a brand/model number that's a bit uncommon. I would recommend going ahead with your order (even if it's on backorder) - you might be surprised how quickly you can get it, even with it being out of stock.

Top rack will not pull out all the way

Replace the upper basket wheels - these are available as spares. If the metal runners look angled - it may be the wheels on the side of the dishwasher that need replacing. These are also available as a spare part.
Ebay is actually a good place to shop for spares of this type.
