I have an intex above ground pool. i have the intex pump and the salt water system. the salt water system keeps beeping, shows number 90 and it says low flow. it's a new system and i'm confident i installed it correctly. i can see air in the clear tube on top of the salt water system. i can't seem to clear the air. is this the cause of the beeping/low flow? what can i do? thanks!

Hi

The Intex system has an LED that displays various codes when a problem occurs. After one hour of the code flashing and the system beeping, the unit will turn off and not produce any chlorine.

Check the screen for the code that is being displayed. If the unit has turned off, press either the down or up arrow button below the screen to see the last code displayed.

Refer to the owner's manual to identify the code and the meaning. There are three codes that can display. Code 90 is low or no water flow, code 91 is low salt and code 92 is high salt.

Code 90 means the filter is not on, the hoses are clogged, the filter is clogged or the water is flowing in the wrong direction.
There are several things you may need to check and do:

- Ensure the pool pump is on and running.
- Ensure the plunger valves on the pool (if any) are opened.
- Ensure the filter cartridge, cell and debris screen are clean from debris and dirt.
- Ensure the flow sensor (especially the hinge) is clean. See Owner's Manual. Release all trapped air (if any) in the circulation line hose.
- Check he direction of water inlet and water outlet hose. Reverse the hoses if incorrectly connected.
- Check if the flow sensor is loose or not connected properly. If not, please plug the flow sensor firmly into the flow sensor receptacle.
- If code 90 still appears despite above steps, there might be a flow sensor failure. Please contact Intex Service Center for replacement.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

We are getting a low salt warning on the salt water pump. the salt is not low we had the water tested. the pump keeps beeping. we have unplugged the unit and it still keeps beeping. please help Dee Jones...

As mentioned on another response, we find we have to add a *lot more salt than in the manual - around twice as much. We're in Wales in the UK & I'm not sure whether our climate is different to what's expected - probably cooler than for many pool owners, even though it's under cover!

How do you set the panel on a salt water intex pump mdl no.8110 and how much salt do use

to set the system, hold the down button until it beeps, then hold the up button until it beeps. Now the system is ready to set. Push the up button to the desired number of hours you want it to run. Now, hold the down button until it beeps, then the up button until it beeps. It should be locked and ready to start working.

Without knowing how large your pool is, I can't give you an exact amount of salt to use. If you know how many gallons your pool holds the formula is Gallons x 0.025 = pounds of salt to start up. When you need to add salt, its gallons x 0.0067 = pounds of salt to add when needed.

My intex saltwater system pump is beeping ''91'' meaning ''low salt level''. Do I need to just add salt again?

Yes, and be sure to keep up with your pH as it will want to rise slowly over time when using a salt water chlorine generator.

We keep on getting code 90 on the salt water system

in side the hose attached to the system from the pool is a filter, we cleaned ours that fixed it right up. Did not know it was there.
The hose is the one going into the pump system at the base.
