Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
I dont know where to even start, My washer just stopped spinning today, everything else works but when it goes to the spin cycle it doesnt spin and makes a horrible noise kindof like a garbage disposal would make, any suggestions on where to start.
These are typical symptoms of a broken motor coupling. Believe it or not, this is a common problem and very inexpensive to repair (about $15 or less). If you wish to tackle this job on your own, the following link gives you step-by-step instructions:
The link also gives you the part number and which website you can order it from. If you do not wish to order on line, use the part number provided and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. This is a common part that most retailers carry. I would recommend a Sears parts store or Whirlpool (your washer is manufactured by Whirlpool). Let me know if you require additional assistance. I hope this helps you.
