The screen on m Nokia 6500 slide is black and i can not access my phone

The flex of the phone is bad that is why You cannot access the screen of the phone. The solution to the problem is for You to replace the flex of the phone. The flex is the ribbon that connects the screen of the phone to the main board of the phone. It is at the back of the upper part. It supports the sliding of the phone also. I will advice you replace it with a new one. To replace it, please follow th steps below:
  1. You need to get a Torx 5 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card
  2. Prise each side of the phone around its edges. The phone should start to split into two halves.
  3. The top and bottom half of the phone is still connected by a ribbon connector. This attaches like a plug and socket. Use something like a credit card to lever it up.
  4. Disconnect the ribbon connector and socket, The other ribbon connector and socket will detach themselves when you separate the phone into two halves.
  5. Now lift the circuit board from the chassis. It will come away with little force.
  6. Pull the black part away from the rest of the phone. It's only held in place with double sided tape but a little force is required.
  7. Also remove the two screws at the top of the phone.
  8. Move the slider up to reveal two more screws. Remove these screws.
  9. You can now lift the slider away from the rest of the phone. The ribbon connector needs to be unplugged. This attaches like a plug and socket so just lever it up to unplug.
  10. Next, carefully peel the ribbon away from the back of the screen. It's held in place with double sided tape. That is the flex of the phone that needs to be replaced with a new one, once you have replaced it,
  11. Please reverse the steps to reassemble the phone back together.
Hope this information helped. Thank you for using fixya.

How to take apart the samsung gravity sgh-t459

Remove battery cover and battery. Using a #00 philips head screwdriver, remove the 6 screws around the perimeter. Slide phone open and carefully pry up on the edge of the green (or blue) trim near the space bar. The colored back should unsnap. There will be two philips head screws visible on the now exposed circuit board. Remove these and carefully pull up on the rectangular ribbon cable to disconnect the main circuit board from the keypad circuit. Carefully peel the two button contacts from either side of the phone. On the spacebar edge, there will be a clip holding the circuit board in place. Gently pry it away from the board and the board should come free (there will be clips on the other side but you should be able to lift the free side of the board up and slide it out from under the clips). Remove the QWERTY keypad. Unglue the remaining ribbon cable from the keypad frame. Undo the 8 silver screws securing the keypad frame to the hinge and lift frame off. There will be 4 screws visible on the back of the LCD case. Remove these and insert a thin plastic spudger at the top of the frame and carefully work your way around. The two halves will separate (should hear two snaps on each side). You will now be into the keypad/LCD section of the phone. Removing everything else is pretty straight forward. Follow these directions backwards to reassemble.

How do i change the housing on my 6500 slide mobile

You need a T5 screwdriver and a new housing... Use an Original housing, copies dont usually fit right... 1, Remove Back cover and Battery. 2, Remove 4 T5 screws at the back of the phone, run your fingernail/opening tool around the housing and it should come away a little, dont pull it apart as there are 2 ribbons one for the Screen the other for the keypad. 3, Turn the phone over and run your fingernail under the keypad. 4, Carefully take the bottom half away with the phones PCB still in the bottom housing, using a flat screwdriver carefully lift off the two Ribbons 5, You can then remove the keypad from the top part of the phone, this is stuck on by double sided tape pull downwards, there are 2 spring loaded pieces on each side. 6, Remove the 4 T5 screws, 2 under where the Keypad was and 2 at the top 7, Again using your fingernail or a opening tool run around the edge and the screen part should come apart, dont damage the ribbon You now have the phone apart take out the bits and change what you like :)

How do I remove the LCD screen from a Samsung Blast?

you must take the back cover of and remove the six screws to access the lower portion of the phone. Once you've done this remove the qwerty keypad. When you slide the phone back down you should see the back of the slider and two additional screws. Good luck.

How to repair broken hinge of my Verizon LG Vx8350

I was able to take apart a VX8350 I have with a broken screen. I don't see any way to replace just the hinges with replacing the whole top part of the phone including the screen. The ribbon cable from the screen runs through the hinge part into the main assembly of the phone. It appears the cable can't be removed without cutting it.

Motorola razr keypad not working

Generally, the keypad does not need to be changed. Usually, one of the flex connectors in the flip (screen/camera) portion of the phone is loose, dirty and/or corroded (maybe from water, sweat, wear, trauma, etc). This is relatively easily fixed by a semi tech savy consumer. You will need a size T5 star driver (and possibly a T6) and a small screw driver, along with some rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol and some Q-tips.

For more information on servicing your phone, you should do an internte search for RAZR dissassembly,GGLJ:2006 -45,GGLJ:en&q=razr+v3+disassembly and you'll get lots of hits including videos like this:

When you have the top case dissassembled, the connector with the black patch on the top is likely loose. Clean the connections thoroughly with alcohol and a Q-Tip and reassemble. If it doesn't work, or only works partially, another cleaning may help (I had to go in twice).

Keypad stops working on handsets

After you remove the battery and the two obvious underlying screws, you will need to pop the two halves apart. This takes some force and you may break some internal plastic clips, but you have no choice. There are approximately six internal plastic clips, so don't worry about breaking one or two. The screws hold it together securely anyhow. Then there are 5 more little screws to get the back PCB off. Then use nail polish cleaner and q-tips and clean the contacts on both the rubber pad and the PCB.

The keypad will work like new again - magic.

LG KG 800 slide

it is a pain to open these. 1. remove the battery & undo the 4 black screws. LG use a thread locking compound (loctite) on all the screws so they will be a **** to undo. 2.Prise the back cover off. 3. Pop apart the 2 rectangular connectors at the top of the keypad circuit board. 4. Lift the top board slightly & pop apart the ribbon/flex cable from the top board. The big silver bit comes off with the flex cable. There is a small bit of adhesive on this so be gentle. 5. undo the 6 silver screws holding the slide mechanism together & lift the slide off over the flex cable. 6. pop the 2 screw covers off the top of the phone then undo the 6 screws holding the front cover on. 7. pop the flex cable off. then the touch pad connector. then the camera lens connector. Gently pull the screen circuit board out of the front cover. Careful as sometimes the speaker is glued in place. 8. Unclip the lcd connector & gently remove the small battery looking thing (it's got red & blue wires on it) from the back of the lcd panel. It's glued on. Have fun. It took me ages to work this out.
