There are two ways to add music to your IPod touch, depending on the model you have, and if you can connect your iPod to a WiFi network. First, you can sync your iPod with iTunes. You need to have music in your iTunes library first, then you connect the iPod to your computer. When the sync screen comes up, go through the tabs and make sure it is set to sync your music library. You can also download music directly to the device if you are connected to the Internet directly, and you have an iTunes account.

Try restoring it. Instructions are in the restore section of your iPod. If you restore it, don't update the iPod, because it seems that the update made your iPod unresponsive. It should be fine then. Good Luck!

Aaah, very simple procedure. First, plug your new iPod into your computer. Second, open up iTunes. Third, your computer should recognize your new iPod and will prompt you to go through a simple iPod set up, then it will ask you if you want to sync your music library to it.

Go to the apple website at www.apple.com/itunes and download itunes (freely available for PC and Mac). Once intstalled it will allow you to access the ipod when you connect the ipod to your computer. You will then be able to download updates for the ipod. Also it will allow you to add music and other things.

im not sure but it might be illegal but heres wat some people do.:

if u have a song, make sure u have saved it in my music. connect your ipod to itunes and go to music on the top. there go to file and click on add file. when ur there, select ur song(s) and add them on. from there, drag them to ur playlist and than sync it. in like 10 seconds it should finish syncing and those songs would be on ur ipod in the playlist u selected. hope this helped.

Do a firmware restore. Plug the iPod in and open iTunes. When the iPod appears click on the main icon and hit the restore button. This will erase all movies, songs, apps, etc. on it but should work afterwords.
