Question about Heating & Cooling
I had the same problem with the fan...its junk.. don't try to replace it with the same kind of fan. I went to radio shack and got a 3.15"square brushless fan. You could go to a computer store and get the 3 &5/8" fan with ball bearings and it would fit just like the old one. Fans run about $15 to $20 depending on location. I cut the old one out and sodered the new one in and it works fine now. Hope this helps. Larry Crockett at crockett2242@yahoo.com Let me know how it works.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I found this phone number for repair parts on the GE housewares website:
"In 2000, GE housewares products became available through Wal-Mart. For repair or parts, you may call 877-207-0923 (for US) 877-556-0973 (for Canada) or you may return your product to your local Wal-Mart."

They also have downloadable manuals there.
Hope this helps

one month of use and the Chinese fan melted
I have had the cooler about 6 months. It operates in a tractor trailer in a moderate dusty environment. I think the fan burned out. It has had a problem with buildup of ice during humid weather as well. I first noticed a problem when I began to smell hot wiring. I thought it might have been the cord but upon closer inspection I noticed the fan wasn't moving. I believe the motor has burned out. I have lost the receipt so I cannot return it to walmart or turn it in for warranty work. I have gone to the coleman website but i dont know what parts to get. Should I purchase all the electronics or just the motor?
