How to Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html
"This will show you how to create a Windows 7 system repair disc to use to boot to the system recovery options if you don't have a Windows installation disc, can't find your Windows installation disc, or can't access the recovery options provided by your computer manufacturer."

or

If you do not have access to either disc: Windows 7 - Repair Disc download
http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

a) Insert the Windows 7 System Repair DVD or Installation DVD and reboot.

b) Select the correct keyboard input method and click 'Next'.

Note: If you are using the Windows7 Install DVD then at the 'Install Now' prompt (Do not pick the Install Now option) instead choose the 'Repair your computer' option located in the lower left of the dispay.

c) The System Repair tool will search for a valid operating system and will report that "Windows found problems with your computer's startup options. Do you want to apply repairs and restart your computer?"

d) Click 'Repair and restart' and reboot again to the Windows 7 System Repair environment.

e) Click 'Next' at the keyboard selection prompt and when the 'System Recovery Options' screen appears verify that the "Use recovery tools that can help fix problems starting Windows" is selected.
Note that on your Dual Boot system there now should be only one operating system listed. Click the 'Next' button.

f) Now from the menu list select the 'Command Prompt' option.

g) At the DOS prompt type the following three commands:

bootrec.exe /fixmbr

bootrec.exe /fixboot (may return an 'Eliment not found' message)

bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

h) Close the command prompt window and click the 'Startup Repair' option.

i) The repair process may take some time, so wait until the process completes at which point you will see two messages "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" and "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically".

These messages are the result of the radical changes made by removing the other drive. Ignore the Send/Don't send options.

J) Close this message window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of the Send/Don't send window. Next click on the 'View advanced options for system recovery and support' option and from the main menu once again click 'Startup Repair'.

This time the repair process may only that a few seconds and when prompted "Startup Repair could not detect a problem", click 'Finish' and run the 'Startup Repair' option one more time, click 'Finish', and then remove the System Repair DVD and click 'Restart'. Reboot the computer.

hope this helps

I own a Philips MP3 player (Go Gear 2GB) and don't have software for Win 7. The player came w/ a small disc that you use in a drawer, and I have an hP touchsmart with a CD slot. Don't think the...

I have a Go Gear 4GB. I just connect it to the computer. The first time, you will see a little balloon message at the bottom right corner, in the task bar, that will say "installing drivers".
Once this is done, simply open your explorer and you will see a new drive that probably even says Go Gear.
You can use this like a regular harddisk. Just copy all your mp3's directly to that drive.
Once you disconnect your device, the drive will disapear in windows, but the files will be on your Go Gear and you will be able to enjoy them.

Never used the software myself.

Hope that helps.

Need to play disc how to isn't playing as of yet

I hope you are not trying to play a DVD in a CD ROM/RW. If not so, then check to see that the sata or IDE are well fitted into their slots. If they are, then check if the CD or DVD Rom drive has some light on at the front. If it doesn't, check to see to it that the Drive's power cable is well fixed.

If these don't work, reboot the computer and go into the BIOS settings(you usually press DEL button or F2 depending on your machine while the computer is turning on). to check if the drive is in the drives list. if it is not, the there is something wrong with your drive. you have to fix another one.
NOTE: Don't try to fix tight the cables while the machine is running or on power. Make sure that the power cable is completely disconnected because this may cause a short circuit which may tamper with other devices or even the drive you are trying to fix.
If you think this solution helps you then your token of appreciation in the form of Rating and a testimonial will be esteemed.
Thank you and Keep Visiting FixYa!

I have a acer aspire x1700 that will not boot gives me a message that says windows failed to start status 0xc0000034. it will not run a disk

Hi,

You can try two things:

1. Boot up and Immediately begin tapping the F8 key. When the Option menu comes up select "Last known good configuration"
2. Sounds like you need to reboot using your windows recovery disc.

If it will not boot up using the disc, try again but press F12 while booting (Sometimes F2 or Del) to get into the Bios settings. Here you can tell the computer to boot up from a disc.

When booted, select Repair your Computer.

I have a spi 2gb mp3 player and have lost the software disc i cannot find anything online to help me and the tech support for the spi site goes to an unbought site for godaddy.com this is ridiculous. win 7...

Try another computer (if available) to see if the player is reconised by that one. If it is reconised, there may be something wrong with your computer (windows should still reconise the device as a mp3 player, but would not be able to open it without the drivers). If you can't try another computer, try a linux live cd (I recomend Ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/) the live cd will not modify your computer unless you tell it to. To use the live cd insert it in the cd drive, reboot and in the bios menu select boot from cd. Using the live cd will allow the computer to run linux (another operating system) without installing it, meaning that you won't need to worry about iharming your computer. I reccomend this because if you use the live cd, you will have a different OS looking at the device, like having a fresh set of eyes, and it may be able to open the player (Ubuntu has great driver support).

.swf files don't run

Hello,

.swf files are Flash files and are played by the Adobe Flash Player. If you currently have the Adobe Flash Player installed, try going to Start --> Control Panel and clicking on Add/Remove Programs. When the screen loads click on Adobe Flash Player and click Uninstall. Finally restart your computer.

When the computer reboots, use the below link to install Adobe Flash Player.

How to reboot a computer?

I believe you mean to reload the OS that was installed in your computer. You did not mention the manufacturer of your computer. Ifs its HP you should have a factory created partition in your computer, you can boot the computer to the reformat partition by either using the F10 key(if you have XP) or F11(if you have vista) and follow the onscreen instructions. If you have a dell, you must have been provided the disc to reformat the computer, as you lost it you can call dell and order for the disc. However, if you have assembled your computer, you would need the OS disc in any case. Your would need to purchase one for the store.
