The mechanical bearings and gears need some lubricants to smoothen the rotation. Try to apply some on the roller paths and joints

Dear Sir/madam,

Spring has broken. you need to replace them in pairs. if you have safety cables the carcass should be suspended upon it. Occasionally spring is ok and cable is found to be broken, again replace broken item in pairs as the other cable is likely worn equally.

thanks
good luck

Check the sensors in the doorway. They need to be pointed at one another. Each of them has a small light that is lit when they are aligned properly.

    pls do rate the solution

If the door makes noise there is either an obstruction or the gear are stuck, this is not a control problem.

Try closing the door all the way throught and opening back a couple of times.
Check that there is nothing obstructing the door in its path, fo example a small stone stuck in the hinge arms.
If you do not find anything visible you will need to take apart door opening system and find where it is mechanically obstructed.
If you need a technician you can call the number listed on Liftmaster owner manual.

Grease and dust mixed inside the gate gears return same problem sometimes, usually, when you cannot find a simple soution you need to hook out pinion gears from the gate, and check out if door alone is moving, or if it is a problem with motor and geards getting stuck.
If the unit is less than one here old it is covered with factory guaranty.

Steve, If you have a remote door opener, change the code, as one of your neighbors may have their door using same code. Also make sure there is nothing hanging or blowing in front of sensor lights.

Liftmaster security+ - enter code on keypad and background light blinks and door won't open. How do I get door to open?

Try programming it by pressing and immediately releasing the smart/learn button and then walking over to the keypad and keying in your four digit code and press enter. If this doesn't work your keypad is bad.

I have a 3 stall garage with two garage doors, we also have 3 garage door openers. When I push the button on one opener both doors open or close. How can I fix this?

You will need to clear the memory of both openers by holding the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds. After doing this none of your remotes will work but your wall control will. Now you need to program the openers making sure you don't program any remotes for both doors.

After the door is fully open, the motor stalls when closing. It trys to continue to open instead of close and the screw drive carrage jams against the "open" end and stalls. I have to unplug it to get it...

It sounds like you have a broken or missing "upper limit switch". There is one for the down limit and should be one for the upper limit. If it is defective or missing the openers 'brain' will not tell the motor to reverse direction.

GARAGE DOOR

two things to check...use the disconnect handle where it attaches the door to the opener, then see if the door will open manually easily, if it does, the door is ok, if it doesn't LOOK at the springs that raise it. DO NOT try to adjust the springs yourself!!!!! if one of them is broken, call a service Co. to handle the repair. Also, check if the door is level. an easy way to eyeball it is to look at the rollers in the track while the door is closed. they should all be the same distance between the hinge on the door and the track. NEVER TRY TO MESS WITH THE SPRINGS!!!!!! THEY CAN SEVERELY INJURE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
