daytime and night, the lights wont go on period so im assuming its a fuse. It might be one of the two round little batteries but like i said, i don't have the owners manual to check

i'm not familiar with that vehicle. however look under the hood for a rectanglar covered box near the battery usually. the lid is held on with clips on each end. open that. there should be some major fuses there ... abs .. a/c ... etc.

Usually as well if you look on the bottom of that lid it labels what fuse is which. failing that i have to go to the library sometime soon i'll look it up in the chilton manual unless of course you have a library near you.

There is one other problem that can go wrong with them. If i'm not mistaken jeeps are made by chrysler now.... if you look on the firewall for a black box with at least two connectors that is your daytime running light module.... it may need to be replaced.

and i must point out the merely obvious because it is often missed.... is there a chance that both lights are burnt out. you may have missed one being out as you do alot of daytime driving and then finally when you needed them for night time driving the other had already burnt out too. If you can find a replacement headlight just to try it i would recommend that first.

If it didn't come with fog lights, it may also have not included a fog light relay and/or fuse. Check the owner's manual for fuse and relay locations, and then check if the necessary parts are there.

No rear running lights

old jeeps ran shared lamps, see the schematic of the combo switch.
then in 07, the BS went to max. "dah Chinese"
the 08 is a very complex car. electronics wise.
the owners manual is good for blown fuses or how to change a bulb
that is why they make the FSM, the size of you leg.

the newer the car , the more complex. some cars with CAN bus
there is one power cable and the BCM tells the lamps to turn on
by digital communication, to the lamps processor, yes, Chinese.
the Grand Cher. has this.

this saves vast sums of copper wire, (now horded? see wsj.com)
rule 2 on cars, and worse on newer
there is only 1 name on a fuse. and some go to 20 places.
the all time top fuse that does that is
aka: PARK/TAIL/RUNNING lamps, ( i like PARK)

there are vast parking lamps. inside (dimmable) and outside
which work and which do not. (side lamps are park too)
3 in rear. ,2 in front, other places.

missing the boat, the new cars can report power problems'
all you need is to get it scanned. using newer OBD2 scan tools.
even brake switch faults.
battery sense fail. ,
scan it, if you see CAN buss comm, fails, we fix comms first.
or get help here.

96 jeep cherokee fuse replace

Word to the wise, Theres fuses also in the junction box. Its located in passengers front kick panel. You are having trouble with several fuses. PDC maxifuse 5 is for headlamp switch . owners manual says theres a fuse panel under LH steering wheel. Find yours. then check all fuses with a test light. Theres supposed to be a relay center to the right under the dash. hmm. Better check behind kick panel RF for that too. Dual flasher is supposed to be there, nearby (relay center). Now goto the public library and have them show you the mitchell database. If they have one. There is also a tsb for towing relays interacting with turn signls (missing wire???) and updates for many PDC boxes(fuse links and various relay repairs). Theres updates for diagrams, connector pin views and vehicle locations. jeep has been kept in disarray with many owner changes as a company. Your search has just begun. Bring a fresh cup of coffee and plenty of spare change to get prints of their updated info. The factory manuals and schematics are inundated with misdirection and upside down pictures. I read recalls first and then tsb's then "dealer info". painstakingly checking each figure is the only way to happen upon it. I dont think Eugene could read, so be careful and map out the testing your own way. happy jeep!!! It seems every jeep is special in its own way. Hopefully yours isn't as special as the (no start)(no spark) grand cherokee I have been working on. I found a plug with 3 wires where the schematic lacked the p/s wires. and this was on the transmission neutral/start!!! and connected to start enable at the pcm.!!! Pray for me. or the jeep. back up lights are PDC fuse 11. auxillary lights are PDC fuse 13. dome/courtesy is PDC 16. turn signal flasher fuse is jct box cavity 8. courtesy, radio, clock and memory etc. are fuse cavity 9 jct box. headlamp delay module is jct cavity 11. instrument lights are with clock, radio /clock and memory, headlamp switch, and yes you guessed it, park lamps they are jct box cavity 15 . trailer tow is 16. 17 is gages, headlamp delay module, chime module, ovrhd cnsl. 19 is instrument panel lamps, and radio illumination. circuit breakers are often inside the lightswitch. if you have class III towing theres a circuit breaker located somewhere" near" the jct box. Be sure and answer with a detailed rendition of the findings you incurr. Harbor freight has DVOM's and wiring repair supplies. See also Ace Hardware or Radio Shack. our local car parts stores have ideas as well as tools and supplies. all the best!!

Ok this is going to sound stupid but I recently broke down in my 1988 jeep wrangler 4x4 I changed the fuel pump and sending unit not thinking that I had blown a fuse which I did lol now all is fixed except...

do you have a multimeter or a test light? check each fuse and make sure there is power on both ends.
putting the fuses in wrongs places can cause them to blow or wiring to overheat if they are rated too high.

My interior, marker, and tail lights dont work when i turn them o

Sounds like a blown fuse....go through them and see which one is blown or check your owners manual..it will tell you what fuse is used for what and will save you on the guess work.

Dash board cluster lights are out 94 jeep grand cherokee

The sensor is located in the very front on top of engine slightly to the right, If you open the hood and lean over the engine just so you can see through the gap between the fan and the engine you will see two rubber radatior hoses kinda to the left then you will see the sensor to the right of them ,kinda looks like a spark plug with a plastic plug on the end of it with two wires connected to it.It screws into the ingine.
