Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Xbox 360 doesn't read the T.V

One day while i was playing a Game, green and red lines started coming across the screen. I turned off the Xbox to fix the problem. But when i turned on the Xbox, the screen stayed blank. My Xbox sounds like it should, and there's no red lights. My Xbox reads the AV cables, i know this cause i pulled out the cables, and red lights showed up notifiying that the cable were missing.

It sound like E74 Hana chip error very common, you could try fix it yourself, there are tutorials on the internet to fix the problem but you'll have to open your xbox and that would void the warranty.
the xbox sometimes doesn't show the red lights because the chip is not totally fried, so with the proper handle you could fix it.
If you do want to fix it by yourself here is a link showing how to do that.

Hope it helps

Either the AV cords are bad or the AV connection itself is bad. Try replacing the cords first. If this doesn't fix the problem, then you will need to contact Microsoft and ask about a repair order.

Xbox 360 problem

If you can still HEAR sound, but can't see. Check your Audio Video Cable.

It's the colorful one (red, white, yellow) (red, blue green, white, red)

Make sure the connections are secure into the back of the TV as well as the connection to the back of the Xbox 360.

No picture on 360 with white dotted lines.

Make sure that the video connection is properly connected to the TV.. (yellow to yellow) or if using Red Green Blue, make sure colours are connected to the right ports on back of TV)

Also, if you have the option, make sure either HDTV or Normal TV is selected on the back of the connector to the Xbox (IE, if you do not have an HDTV, select normal cable).

Xbox 360-Red to Green

Look on the back of your tv and make sure that the red and blue cables are plugged into the right slot on the back of your tv. This would be the most common cause for something like this that you are describing.
