My usb port do not work. It did not recognize any devise.

hello
Use Device Manager to disable and re-enable all the USB controllers. This lets the controllers recover the USB port from its unresponsive condition. The USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager. If you are not comfortable with advanced troubleshooting, try the steps in the "Workaround" section.
To disable and re-enable the USB controllers, follow these steps: Click Start, and then click Run.
Note If you are running Windows Vista, click Start, and then use the Start Search box. Type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Note You might have to scroll down the list to find this item. Right-click the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it. Repeat step 4 for each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers. Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled. Check the USB device to see whether it is working.
hope this helps

Usb ports do not work. Windows does not recognize them.

IT may be time for a new systemboard. This is a common recall issue with the dV6000. If you wanted to be sure, you could reinstall windows just to verify everything is okay there.

USB ports do not work

1.) Check your CMOS/Bios settings to see if any USB ports are disabled.

2.) If not, check to see that USB ports show in your operating system's device manager or settings. Enable them if they are disabled. Otherwise, you may need to reinstall the drivers that came with your model of notebook computer.

If using Windows XP, for example, go to Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If the latter is not present and you have USB enabled in CMOS/Bios, you will need to install the drivers. If "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" is present, look within to see if they are all enabled and working properly.
If not, re-install the drivers.

3.) If the above does not work, you may have bad USB ports that will require service by an authorized repair service for your notebook computer.

Usb ports

This can only mean on thing that the USB port on your computer is not properly working, what you can do here first is to run the setup CD for your motherboard so all the software including the driver for the USB port will be reinstall, if after that still not working the USB port of the computer is already bad...

2 of 4 USB Ports Not Functioning

Most likely a motherboard problem, though you can try and re-do windows, best bet on getting it all to work is Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Though this might really get on your nerves having to do this multiple times, id get a new motherboard.

Hp 2015d will not print. Everything is on and the driver is installed. We have also tried to reset printer. Powered it down.

Hi Tmthymngn,
When printer is ready. Press the Green button. A Demo page will be printed. If this works, try to connect printer to a different USB port on the computer. Computer should detect that you have a usb connected. Or connect a USB drive to the port instead. If the drive is not detected, the USB port might not have been activated. On your computer, click Start|Settings and select Control Panel. In control panel, double click on System, then select Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager button. In Device Manager window, look for Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Click on the + sign. Right Click on each host controller tand select properties to see if each is enabled and working properly. If it is disabled, enable it.
