I have a paypal account that I use all the time on ebay. I am trying to pay for an item off ebay & can't get in. It says there is no such email address. Now I can't even get in on your offical site. the contact email is on another email address

Paypal is not actually a marketplace, in the other hand Ebay is, now, you need one and the other in order, to sell you will need to use Ebay, register online, advertise your product, many times Ebay allows you to sell your first items without a charge, after that there most likely be a fee... To receive money from your "customers" you need to have a paypal account, register online and link with your bank account, and link with paypal, post your products on ebay and check your finances in paypal. You have to open an account at paypal. Then you click the option wiretransfere from your bankaccount to paypal. this normaly takes up to 3 days. when the money is on your paypalaccount then you can use it to pay for example items on ebay.

when you put a item on ebay to sell, you have to choose what payments you except, that way the buyer know how to pay,, when they buy the item & choose paypal,,it will take them to paypal where they signin & pay for the item.

it is possible,, go back to the item & check to see what the seller accepts for payment, it will show & also try clearing the cookies on your computer & see if that helps

if you do need to update the account they can do it for you over the phone

also it's a good idea when you get a error message to clear the internet cookies off your computer when errors come up, & see if that solves the problem & if not call paypal customer service

Hi, I've had that happen before,, call paypal for customer service & ask them why the payment failed & they will tell you. either something about your account or your payment method should be the problem

Depending on whether or not the seller uses eBay checkout, the steps to complete payment are different. If your seller does not use eBay checkout, they will send you an invoice or other payment instructions to help you complete your purchase.

To pay for an item when the seller uses eBay checkout:

1. Link your PayPal and eBay accounts, if you haven't already done so.

2. After you've won an item, click the Pay Now button. You can find this button in the listing, in the Purchase History section of My eBay, and in the confirmation email that you receive from us.

3. Check your shipping address. If any information is incorrect, click the Change shipping address link to update it. (The seller may require a credit card billing address registered with PayPal, sometimes called a confirmed address.)

4. Confirm the order details, including shipping and taxes. Click the Continue button. (If you have questions about the total cost, click the Request total from seller link.)

5. Select PayPal as the payment method.

6. Enter your PayPal log in information. If you don't already have a PayPal account, you can sign up.

7. Make sure that your shipping details, payment method, and order details are correct.

8. Click the Confirm Your Payment button to complete your purchase.


To link your PayPal and eBay accounts:

1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

2. Click the Account tab.

3. Click the "PayPal Account" link on the left side of the page.

4. Click the Link My PayPal Account button.

5. You'll be asked to log into PayPal to finish linking your accounts.
