The condition of your TV called power supply overcurrent shutdown. The TV is going into a protection mode to prevent further circuit damage. That's why it will not turn on or not powering up. I would concentrate on the power supply section board. Bad regulation of the incoming voltage could caused this issue although, there is a capacitor across the incoming line and nuetral.Maybe its leak or dry up and cause the problems, change it out with one of identical rating .I would probably also check the flyback circuit and flyback transformer although now you are getting into dangerous area, especially if you have no electronic experience background. It could be also be a loose ,crack or cold solder joint,a blown fuse, fusible links or other component .It could be one of several boards.Unfortunately the level of sophistication on these TV make it virtually impossible to diagnose them further without taking them apart and probing around with a multimeter and other tools. This TV is handy enough to take to a repair shop find a good one.You will probably have to pay $75 to $100....

Hope this may help you..

you should not have to replace the whole board, just the supply module. most often times it's a solid state chip that plugs into the board and is not a soldered connecton. you should be able to purchase this and do this yourself bt just removing the back of the unit. this will at least save you the cost of the having a tech do it. how ever if you have little or no expeirence i would not recomend the repair by other than a qualified serviceman.

when you open up the set you should see the connections from tthe chord to a board which has a solidstate chip compnant on it check the soldered connections look for heat marks. with the set unplugged remove this whole section

if the powersupply module is ok then the main board is fried, it's obvious that you can't seem to get a picture if though you have power to unit and from power supply module to the main board . in that circuit is the fault. unless you have the neccessary schematics and voltage values. any attempt to repair this yourself is ill advised

Hey,

Generally such issue tells about a faulty power board or possibly a blown fuse / bad capasitors and to that direction.

Unless you have experience in troubleshooting electronics, useing a soldering iron and so on. I suggest you contact a service center and take the tv in for repairs.

If your tv is still covered by warranty then that will solve your problem.

This definitely requires internal diagnosis.

Thanks,
Ekse

Generally you would need to purchase a few tools, a service manual and parts to repair this yourself.

If the powerboard is at fault, the best solution may be to replace the board, or repair it. If you don't have tv repair experience I recommend agains trying to fix it yourself.

You may have damaged the power board.

do you have surge protector or not?

yes you can fix it if you have proper expertise in repair and fair knowledge in electronics and electrical.

mostly there would be a damaged capacitor or burnt diodes.

you can open the unit and check for the blown out capacitors. they will appear as bulged over their heads.

if any diodes are burnt you can clearly see them as black burnt area in your board.

but if the boards print has been burnt there nothing we can do by ourself.

everything will depend upon the damage caused.

    thank you

be careful while handling the unit with power ON

Tv lights blink, tv not turning on

HI, the fly back transformer has failed in your unit. this will occur if the dust level is high inside the set. the dust will settle on the cooper windings and, create an arch that will short out the entire power sector of this unit.

The fly back is usually the first to take the hit. replacing this will fix this issue.

LC-23Y25 Problem with turning on power?

so i had the same problem. red light came on, but no blue light or anything on the screen. it turns out that there were some capaciters blown on the circuit power board. unless you have a good understanding of circuit boards, its not a quick fix. but for someone who knows their electronics, its not too hard, and its not expensive to fix, unless you bring it into a store. but the supplies needed arent expensive. good luck
