My Acer Aspire Z5600 at booting not reading the wireless keyboard and mouse, it's booting but as keyboard is not connecting, I am unable to type my password and get stuck at password screen. Have

try resetting the BIOS to defaults. Also, make sure the wireless KB and Mouse works by testing it in another PC. Acer might be aware of this issue, so try calling them if those ideas do not help.

When I try to plug in an external Mouse my Acer Aspire One is asking me to download hidusb.sys from the XP Home Edtion Service Pack 3 CD?

I'll assume your touchpad and built-in mouse are not working, hence your need for the USB mouse. If the touch pad and built-in mouse are working but you find them awkward to use (another reason some users connect USB mice to notebooks), then you might find it easier to briefly persevere and use the touchpad and built-in mouse for only a few seconds just to complete the simple steps outlined below. If not, the keyboard method detailed below is less efficient and more cumbersome but equally effective.
This driver that is being requested is already built-in to Windows. Use the TAB and down or up arrows keys on your keyboard to move the cursor to the button you want to activate -> press the ENTER key to activate the button that the cursor has settled on keys on your Click Next -> No (to alternative search methods) -> search the whole computer for the driver -> next -> finish -> if your USB mouse does not work straight away, press the windows logo key bottom left of your keyboard -> the use the keyboard arrow keys to move once up and then left to the shutdown button -> press ENTER -> use the arrow keys to move the cursor to RESTART -> press ENTER.

Hi my wireless keyboard & mouse do not work at all on my Acer Aspire M3970, but both a cable keyboard & mouse do?

There is a USB receiver underneath the battery panel of the mouse, although it looks like part of the workings of the mouse. It's only a very small thing with a USB plug on it but it is there. The instructions don't show a picture of it, so it's very easy to think you haven't got one until you look closely

Unclip it and put it in your USB port and it should come up.

How do I setup my wireless mouse and keyboard

Need more information but normally you would hook up the infrared device or usb device to the laptop. Then you would make sure that the keyboard and mouse has new batteries in it. At that point windows should recognize the mouse and keyboard. You may have to push on the connect buttons on the keyboad or mouse to get the laptop to recognize them.
Other then that its not really hard. Just time consuming if it doesn't take right away. Most of the time you don't need software installed unless the manual tells you to install them because windows will recognize them.

USB wireless keyboard doesn't work

You need to unload the USB drivers for the keyboard and let windows find them again at restart. How does a novice do this? It's not hard. Go to Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, Keyboards. Right click on this and select uninstall. Reboot your machine. If the drivers are not corrupted they should load fine, if they are corrupted then Windows will ask for the original operating system disk.

All this assumes that your keyboards are electronically working. This last holiday season alot of people brought in their Logitech - Target specials that no longer worked. Seems that if you insert the batteries backwards once the keyboard no longer operates (mouse OK). Never checked in to it too deep.

Good Luck

Wireless mouse and keyboard not working

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.
