Just a minor question regarding the (my) istD LCD screen. I hadn't noticed this before (probably because I was concerned with other things), but lately I've noticed when I bring up "menu" on the istD LCD screen, some of the white color letters in the menu headings have either a faint reddish (and sometimes bluishish or greenish) tint to them. Only a single color to some of the letters, some remain white. It's even more pronounced if looking at the screen on an angle but still noticeable if looking head on. It doesn't escape me that these are of course the primary colors of an LCD screen. Maybe it's asways been this way and I didn't pay particular attention but just in case my sceen is changing, may I ask if others notice this on their istD LCD screen. Just look at the word "format". My "m" is reddish for example. It also may relate to what brightness setting one has set their LCD screen to. I just reset mine to it's minimum and I don't have my istD with my (on location) to recheck. Thanks!

Re: istD LCD Screen...Problem
Resolution on the LCD is rather "rough," but I think all these tiny screens are that way. Considering the "roughness" of the photos in playback, and their sharpness when viewed full on on a computer, the text is about up to as good as this screen can produce.
Or, in other words, I'm see'in what your see'in as for text. I think it's just normal.

no there is no way, you have heated up the screen backing. only way is to remove the lcd screen and change it. as the screen its self is only 0.01 or 0.02mm at the most thick, you will probably smash the screen.
Sorry for such a long delay in replying to you. Hadn't noticed it before. Anyway, you can hard reset your phone by means of a keys combination: slide your phone's keyboard open. Then, press and hold both the blue 'Fn' and the green 'Call' button, and whilst keeping them pressed, briefly press the reset pin with the stylus pen. Release the keys only after a confirmation screen comes up. Confirm the procedure by pressing the left softkey (which should be labeled 'yes'). You, most probably, know that this procedure will erase everyting you have installed on your phone, as well as all your personal data, as if you had just purchased your phone.
Hope it works for you.
Anyway, please, let me know if you need further informations.
I see that you are experiencing a video issue with you back light on this case, you mentioned when docked on your docking station you see the video on you monitor but when undocked you get a black LCD screen and see shadows of what is on the LCD screen.
this is a back light issue that you are experiencing.
We can try and check some settings regarding this concern and se if there is anything we can do to correct what you are experiencing with your laptop
As soon as you turn your Laptop on keep on tapping F1 to will bring you to the BIOS screen if the BIOS shows up on you LCD screen without going black then most probably yo may need to change some settings in windows regarding the the LCD and power options.
Try docking back into your docking station and inside windows go to power options, and set your system power options to balanced.
On your Desktop right click anywhere on an open space to get the menu list click on personalize then click on display then click on advance settings, look for screen refresh rate change it to 59Hrtz then undock from your docking station and try booting into windows without using the docking station to check if the video will show on the LCD again on this issue.
I saw you post stating that you have pink spots/dots on your Screen.
to determine what the problem is we weill need to turn your computer off and boot into the BIOS screen.
1. Turn your Computer Off, then as soon as you power the machine On keep on tapping F1 on the keyboard to get the BIOS screen it will be a Blue screen with white fonts on it, in that screen see if the pinks dots are present or not.
2. If the pink dots are present in BIO then that means that the LCD screen of your Laptop needs to be replaced.
3. You will need to call your manufacturer regarding this concern check if your system is still in warranty, because this will be very expensive if you are out of warranty.
4. All manufacturers will cover a pixelated LCD screen if the dots or pixelated area has at-least 5 or more dots/pixelated areas on the LCD screen.
I hope that his will help you with the concern that you have posted.
two things probably 1 the "flex" cable connecting the phone's lcd unit to the main board is broken or ripped or even slightly twisted more than it shud have been
or 2 the lcd unit as whole is bad with a minor problem(inclusive of problems to connector joints)
what u cud do at this point is send it a service center... unless u want to open the device which i would say is a pure risk u d be taking... claim any warranty if needs be...
