Question about Toshiba Tecra M1 PC Laptops
Yes its a Toshiba Tecra M1. The count down is on the first screen that states Sorry for the inconvenience and so on and so on then after that page counts down 30 seconds it then goes to the Windows loading page. The bar at the bottom runs a couple of times then the computer seems to shut off because the lights turn of the screen goes blank then it comes back on and that Sorry screen is back on there it counts down and does it all again.
You will need to get into the bios, and set the CD drive to boot before the hard drive. Since your in this uncompromising loop, remove the hard drive, then start the machine. It should go to the initial Toshiba screen and you will see the prompt on what to press to get to the bios, or utility set up. Once your in the bios, find the boot order and set the CD drive over the hdd. Then put the hdd back in, the recovery or operating system disc in the CD drive, and start the machine. It should now boot from the disc. At this point you will want to do a system repair. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hdd, and install a new operating system. If the hdd will not format or you have any issues during or after the install, then the hdd has failed and will need replaced. If you need any futher aststance, just ask.
