Get online
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer
Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the webcam drivers.
Maybe your problem is you don't know where the
program is that starts the webcam. It is located in the program list.
Click Start/Programs and look for any reference to camera or webcam. It
might be inside one of the manufacturer folders in the program list so
search them. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment
Experience that launches all the entertainment devices when opened. if
you see something similar to that, click it and it will show the webcam
or camera icon.
You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to
www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com"
(without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the
site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find
Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white
search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results
look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and
install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it
would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions
whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use,
and you will always know where your webcam software is.
