Re: I'm having some troubles with the update to...

The Toshiba Page offers a Bluetooth and a Wifi Version of Windows Mobile 2003SE. I advice first to install the previous version and retry the update.

How to upgrade my nokia 3230 firmware?

  1. Tip: It is always recommended to backup your data before updating your software. However, updating using your device does not necessitate a full backup.
    Step 1 Step 2 Step 3

Key *#0000# into your phone's home screen or go to Device manager(consult your user guide if necessary) Select Options > Check for updates. Follow the on-screen prompts until your update is complete!

The above instructions may not apply to all devices. For detailed instructions on updating your particular device, please select your model on the Device software update page.

  4. Type your BlackBerry smartphone password, if prompted, and click OK.
  5. Click the check boxes next to the names of the applications you want to load, and then click Next.
  6. Click Advanced, and then click the check box beside Erase all currently installed applications.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click the check box next to Do not automatically backup the application data during the loading process.
  9. Clear the box next to Backup and restore applications installed wirelessly.
  10. Click Next > Finish.

Update to Windows Mobile 2003SE Problem

I had the same problem on my PDA. It was impossible to start “Flash Update Tool”. All the time when I wanted to start it, there was audible warning. But after several attempts it works well. In my case there was some problem with connection settings in ActiveSync. Only what I can suggest you is to check your connection settings and to reset PDA properly.
