The cmos on the Pavilion is going to be in one of three places, and will be one of two styles of battery. The cmos style will be either a large watch type battery about the size of a nickle located in a slot on the mother board, or in a yellow or greenish pouch with two wires leading to a connector, located under a cover on the bottom of the machine, or under the keyboard.

I wrote Toshiba about my P205-6267 ..wanting to know how to replace the CMOS battery when it goes dead....I worte the North American Division in Irvine CA, I am disabled, the USsenate helpedme to acquire funding to receive this computer. I was told by Toshiba when they phone called me, hat the CMOS batery is permanently soldered to the mother board now..and when i goes dead I have to send it back and spend the $3-$400 to to replace the motherboard...The last Toshiba model to offer a standard user removeable button cell batery that costs about $4.00 is the P 105 series anything after that....Is permananly soldered in. I mentioned that I expected this computer to lst 10 years, that that on my older IBM win 95...I could still change the battery as can you with the other laptops by different laptop manufacturers But Toshiba has decided to rip off the public and force us to buy a computer ..or pay for a new motherboard instead of going to our neighborhood drugstore walmarts or rado shack and buying a user replaceable 4$ battery...They did not seem to be very compassionate about my disability..or to have any respect for the good work the US Senate did to help me acquire this $$$ to buy a computer...I'll never buy a Toshiba again....they have become theifs...Stick to Lenovo or Acer
Compaq nx9005. Have exposed mother board but can not see the CMOS battery. Where is it?
