This is a normal problem is some air cons. Theres nothing much you can do . You unit would be under warranty you can get a tech out to have a look but he will probably just say theres nothing you can do about it.
All you can do is turn the unit of at the main power board when not in use.
Here is a forum where i have tried to help someone with same problem
The noise may come from a plastic piece that is around the outside fan ( that picks up the water ) and cools the condenser ( coil ). the fogs maybe condensation ( warm air and cool air mixing on the window ( heat from outside on the window and cool air inside ( poor seal around the widow ( Unit) .
First you have confirm what really the defects is, is it the remote control or the control board.
HOW TO CHECK THE DEFECTIVE REMOTE CONTROL: Check if the remote control if still good, using the camera of your
cellphone point remote control to the cellphone camera and press the
"on" button of your remote and you can see the light emitting from your
remote control transmitter. If the lights emits that means your remote
control is good, if not means the remote control is defective. If the remote emits light it means that the receiver at the control board
in the indoor unit is defective.
