I bought a new intel DG31PR classic series mother board,but even after installing drivers,i can't get the 1440x900 resolution which is recommended for my View Sonic 19" wide screen lcd monitor... please help me solve this problem... by the way,i am using the onboard VGA

You should have got a driver CD with your board. go into the refrash rate and change it to something other than what it is you may need to go up or down it depents on the manufacture settings. also they may say the monitor can do it but it cannot do it, drivers are a big factor also.
right click, select the vedio card options, software option for the card, or properties, display options
control panal, open up personalization,diplay settings, advance setting, choose the best option for your needs.
