Question about Toshiba e800 Pocket PC

Bitmap caching

As part of the install, it said that it needed to disable hardware bitmap caching for optimum performance. On uninstall it didn;t re-enable it as far as I can tell.

Can you lower the laser tickle adjustment a bit on that machine. Or try a different driver for a similar model. Also try a different graphic from a different graphics program. Make sure it is a simple one like a black and white bitmap or a one pixel wide vector circle to isolate your issue, whether it is the laser or the computer.

How can I speed up my HTC touch diamond smartphone?

You can download a freeware program called advanced configuration tool. After installing and running the program expand the performance menu. Increase system cache size to 8mb and increase file system filter cache to 131072 sectors. Select done and restart to save changes.
