Hi,
First uninstall your present Skype messenger. click start > Control panel > choose Add or Remove programs > uninstall skype. if finish uninstall skype. restart your PC, and then download latest version from skype website http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/windows/
If finish download skype installer software, double click, just follow software installation instructions.
Then try it again.

Skpe is a Viop based application so obviously to make skpe to skpe calls u need a very strong network/modem..Broadband prefarably.Ur modem speed is the reasn 4 this problem.U can also chek ur microphe/earpiece.U cn use apps to boost ur modem speed..E.G ur freedom,open vpn..Hit vote plz

It is a free download, and free for pc to pc calls. Did you download from the website itself, or the app store?
