Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why am I continually receiving error message 0x800CC92 when trying to access emails.

Hi Angela,

The first step is to check your Outlook Express settings, making sure that the POP3 and SMTP servers are as in the screenshots, and that your full user name and password are correct.

Then test your connection by following this procedure.

Click the Start button then RUN type in cmd on (Windows NT/2000/XP) or Command (Windows 95/98/ME). This will open a new command prompt window, with white text on a black screen.

Type in the following exactly as it appears. You will not see what you are entering so take it slowly, and if you make a mistake, start again.
telnet pop.tiscali.co.uk 110 and then click the Enter key on your keyboard. You will then be connected to the email server.

Type in USER followed by your email address e.g. USER jo_blog@tiscali.co.uk and then click the Enter key. You will then get a message +OK Please enter your pass, with the PASS command

Type in PASS followed by your password e.g. PASS joblog0370 and click the Enter key. If it is correct, you will get an OK Well done message.

If you can do this, you have connected to the Tiscali server and so the problem lies somewhere with Outlook Express.

If you can't get in this way either, it could be that your password has somehow become corrupted. Try changing it in My Account. Try again.
If this doesn't work, it may be that TCP/IP has somehow become corrupted within Windows. So try reinstalling TCP/IP. To do this
Click Start
Settings
Control Panel
Network connections
Right click your connection and click Properties
Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click Uninstall
Then close down your PC and open it up again.

Follow the same steps as above, but instead of clicking Uninstall click Install.
On the screen which appears, click Protocol and then Add
Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then OK (You may be prompted for your Windows installation disk at this point.
If you run Windows XP, the process is slight different. You need to

Click Start
Run
Then type in Command
In the screen which appears, type in netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Reset Windows 7 Password

Anyone can forget a password. Okay you may think it will never happen to you, but think again, because it may just happen. Forgetting your user account password is no big deal providing you have taken the necessary precautions to create a Password Reset Disk.
Sadly, if you haven't created a Password Reset Disk for your Windows operating system then gaining access to your PC will become a nightmare. I'm not saying that it is impossible, because it isn't. However, this tutorial refers to resetting your user account password with the aid of your Windows Password Reset Disk.
The first you will know about your password being wrong is when you type the password in at boot up and a message appears telling you that The User Name or Password is Incorrect. It is at this stage that you need your Password Reset Disk.
Once you have your Password Reset Disk (you should have created this either on a floppy disk or a USB flash drive. See: Create a Windows 7 Password Reset Disk) you should insert the disk (or USB stick) into the relevant drive and then proceed as follows:

After you have typed in the wrong password a message will appear informing you that the User name or Password is incorrect, you should forgot Windows 7 Password. I purchased a Dell Computer back in 2004 which came with Sonic Digital Media Plus v7. My PC has Windows XP Operating System. A few days ago I decided to install Version 6.0 of Roxios Easy CD/DVD Burning...

Try uninstalling Roxio and the Sonic drives and run Fixit. Then reboot and install Roxio first then the Sonic driver.
If this doesn't work uninstall again as previously, install Roxio and check the CD/DVD if necessary run Fixit then install Sonic driver.

Forgot user name and password

When you turn your computer on and it comes up with the message about pressing Esc to see the boot options (it sounds like you have done this bit already) then press the Esc key and it will give you a list of choices. By default your computer boots the first in the list which you now cannot log in to.
You need to boot the first recovery option (as I think you have in the past) by moving the cursor over it with the arrow keys and then pressing enter.
Part way through the boot process a message will come up saying something about dropping to a root shell for maintenance. From here you can run a command to reset your password. Type in (exactly as shown, changing <username> for the user name you log in with)
passwd <username>
Press enter and it should ask you to type in a new unix password. Type one in (nothing will appear on screen) and then press enter. It will ask you to confirm it so do the same again. If it tells you it hasn't changed the password then find out why, If it mentions anything about your password being a dictionary word then thats ok - it will still be changed and it should say so.
Once you have successfully changed your password press Ctrl+D to exit the root shell and it should finish booting as normal (if not you may need to reboot if the computer doesn't do this for you).
When you get to the login screen login using the username you changed the password for and your password that you set for it and all should be hunky dory.
Let me know if you have any problems - I think everything I wrote is correct but I was working from memory .

My name is Barbara G. Scire and recently I had to change my aol billing info. Then when I tried to log on after the change I received a message as follows: Pleas sign on to the Master Screen Name or...

Hi scires3, what you can do is to call AOL since this is a billing information issue, and the AOL website needs to verify more things into your account for security purposes. You need to call AOL and ask them for the Master Screen Name or you can even ask them to change your billing info for you.

Thanks!
I know it will work. Be Positive!
Your good rating will be very much appreciated.

Good luck and thank you!
