Question about Altec Lansing AVS 500 Computer Speakers
Altec Lansing AVS 500 Speakers
Realtec high def audio
I'm getting an annoying popping sound whether the compter is on or off. This is constant fairly non stop. If I unplug it then plug it in later it stays off for awhile then starts again.
I saw somewhere else that it might be the internal amp?
Is there anyway to salvage these speakers or are they pretty much gone. They have worked fine up until recently. All of the other speakers work fine its just the subwoofer.
I have the same issue. Speakers were working fine then the sub-woofer just starts err...pulsing/popping/ The speaker cone is actually moving and it's like it's in a kind of loop. Powering off kills it for a while, but then it comes back making the whole speaker system unusable.
Mic is on, but no boost.
Not coming through all speakers, just the sub-woofer.
These were a good set of speakers, seems a shame to have to junk them.

I use to get that same sound but only when I first booted up.
Is this only happening when you have the volume up and does it happen if you turn down the sound all the WAY not off
Your MIC could be enable and on boost level.
If you sound is popping from the music or other source is it from all the speakers???
I can try and help
