My e800 suffers from intermittent screen lock up, this continues after resetting and charging although occasionally either of these actions will resolve the problem short term. Is this a common issue and is there a know fix ?

Re: Screen Lock up
If I understand you right there is problem with Touch screen because, I suppose, a mylar is not attached correctly to the Top Case Assy. This causes a permanent pressure on the screen.
I am not sure but there should be changed the top case mylar. In my opinion you should contact Service Partner in your country and ask them what the best way to solve this problem is.

if you forgot your pattern lock, just give few more tries to continue wrong efforts. at an instant, the OS will report 'attempts exceeded, enter with your gmail'. at this point just enter your email address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL'. this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!
The spring lock needs to be adjusted, you need to open it to make it work again. Although if you want to try a nifty trick I do with cards spitting out in the slot is to put a square-cut electrical tape on both sides of the sd card and it will stay in...
Your digitizer might be dead, and if so the cost to repair it could
buy you a whole new PDA.
But since it's fix or chuck(if you don't get any better advice), you should open it up and take a look inside. Check to see if the wires aren't loose or if some corrosion didn't occur inside.
this hard reset is based on a slack joint.
You could test it, if you turn your PocketPC on, and tip on the cover, near the Display or the Battery. If the PDA make a reset, your Pocket PC need a repair.
