My speakers sounded distorted, so I thought that perhaps my kids had turned the volume too high and blew them out, So I just bought new speakers and they're exactly the same. Sounds tinny. Is this a driver issue? What should I do?

It sounds more like a connection issue than a driver issue per se, but to be sure make sure you have only your current speakers drivers installed and not multiple drivers installed. If the problem persists, presuming you don't want to take your motherboard out and check connections and the like, buy a soundcard and use it instead of onboard sound or your current soundcard. Hopefully this helps.

Could be a driver issue, but I'm inclined to suspect damaged sound chip. I would personally install a separate sound card, in most cases, better quality sound anyway

I have just bought a new LG 42LM620T TV. The picture is fine but every so often the sound is a little distorted. It's as though the sound has been recorded at too high a level for the speakers. It

No doubt in the audio menu for your TV there are several tweaks available in there - maybe even a graphic equalizer and perhaps other potential modifications. Access the audio menu with your remote and play around in there. You may be able to soften the audio up a bit. Good luck.

Speakers don't work quite right

Check first to make sure impedance marked on speakers is same as original---two sets of positive and negative terminals suggests original ones were dual element speakers----

If for example original were marked 8 ohm and you put 16 or 32 ohm speakers in----volume will be greatly diminished and even distorted.

This is only a suggestion as I do not know what original speakers were or what new ones are----but the key is originals had two sets each of connections.

Im having kenwood home stereo system model no xd-v818 ...in high volume about 80 the sound starts to distoriate and the voice is not clear..i want to kno wether the stereo deck is not able to provide...

Well, here is the situation as I understand it. Here is also some theory to help you out.
Your Receiver or Amplifier has a "scale" showing relative volume. Distortion always increases in speakers and amplifiers when you turn them up. If the sound is getting extremely distorted, the Receiver is attempting to operate above it's maximum output. The scale is an average, but because music recordings are often mastered at different levels, "80" may be too much. When an amplifier section of a receiver is over driven, the distortion (which you observed) will damage or burn out your speakers. Most likely the tweeter (high frequency speaker)
If you back off the volume, or turn down the output of the deck until the sound becomes clear, then that level, IS FULL VOLUME. Based on what you are saying to me, I don't think anything needs service.
There is one other very important thing I should mention to you
. When people use high powered equipment and initially turn up the sound. After a short time, the mind turns it down. What next happens is the reason professional musicians and sound engineers often have permanent hearing loss after a relatively short time.
What happens is that the listener and often the engineer running the sound board at a concert thinks the sound is not loud enough (when the audience is happy with the level) and turns it up. After turning it up, his mind (and the audiences') turns it down and then he thinks it not loud and then again turns it up. And up. And up. The only reason I'm not deaf is that I discovered this when I was building sound systems as a kid. I also studied about it. So please be careful when you play things loud. Permanent hearing loss starts to occur at the very high frequencies and rolls down from there over a period of time. Hearing loss can start to occur in just a few hours.
at 110 decibels. It doesn't come back. If you understand this, you'll keep your hearing.
I hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Mark

I bought a system and this scosche fa1-3a came with it and I have no idea what its for please help

This device is used to connect the speakers out puts to an amplifier.
Usually a car stereo speakers are high volume out puts and it can damage the sound (distortion) at the time to connect an amplifier so the best way with less distortion is hooking up this device to low the volume and get a clean sound to be amplified

I bought a Behringer Eurolive B1220 Pro speaker with my PA system brand new and it sounded great at first. Now it sounds really muddy (the other 2 speakers I bought work fine) almost as if the horn has...

Bad news...you've blown the tweeters. Overdriving the mixer/amp creates distortion on the amplifier which heats up the speaker voice coils and eventually causes damage. Because of their small diameter voice coil windings the tweeters fail first (opens up like a fuse element does) followed by the woofer making a scraping sound (deformed voice coil) or not working as well. Warranty service because you blew out the tweeters? Don't get your hopes up.

1. PLEASE use enough power for the venue that you have. A high powered system will run all night at 10:00 (physical volume knob setting) than an underpowered system set for 2:00.

2. Get speakers off the ground and closer to your audience's ears. Audio from speakers on the floor must battle surfaces that actually absorb some of the sound....carpet, drapes, etc. And besides, legs can't hear that well.

Quad 11L distorts sound temporarily at the beginning of a session

Swap the speaker that makes the noise with one of the others. If it acts up on the new channel you know that it's got a fault on it. However if the noise appears on the new speaker the fault is in the amp (perhaps an overheating transitor).
Looking at the picture on fixya of the speakers, it seems unlikely that the speaker units would cause that fault, but the crossover could in it.

I am geting a distorted song in my computer speakers

What do you mean more exactly by "sound like if the computer freeze"? If you set wave or master volume on your PC too high, the sound card or the speakers may get overdriven, which results in distorted sound. So you could try lovering the voume in your PC, and set it higher on the speakers. (On the contary, if you set volume in your PC very low, and very high on the speakers, sound will get noisy.)

Speaker Distortion

I would definitely say yes to the new HU, however at the same, the issue could be the actual wiring from the deck to the speakers. If you've got a cassette player in there I'm assuming the vehicle is a bit older. Over time the copper in the wiring has a tendency to corrode if exposed to the weather. Either way replacing the player is a win-win situation since you'd be stepping into the CD era (lol), but if it doesn't make a difference I would be looking towards the wiring. Outside of that the only possible wild card would be you bought faulty speakers, the odds of that being very low since it's coming from both. Hope this helps.
