Re: SD memory cards and battery life

Well, the standard tricks include: * always turn off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use * turn down Backlight as much as you're comfortable with, and set it to turn off at a reasonable interval if nothing's happening * get a screen on/off toggle so you can turn the screen off if you''re listening to music. Actually, most of the audio software includes a screen toggle function; but you may want a general one in order to turn the screen off if you're recording, say. I'm sure other participants will chime in with more advice. If a card's in, it's on. I don't think it draws too much power.

Hp back files on card can my computer restore these

The Hx 4700 series and the & The Hx2190 have a removable card Compact Flash or SD Card, if the information you want was stored on these you can buy a USB Card reader from woolies plug the SD or Compact flash into the card reader and plug it into the USB port of your PC or mac and it will be readable (no drivers needed). Memory card

Ok; The SD card is a memory card that stores data that your native memory cant handle, due to size restrictions. If the card is indeed inserted correctly, I would advise to remove the SD card and battery for 5 minutes. Be sure to power off the device before extracting those components. This 5 minute hard reset should correct the misreadings. If for some reason the reset does not correct the misreadings, this will ultimately lead to a SD card slot fault. This is considered to be hardware failure and you will need to take the device to your local provider for hardware service.

  • You can also replace the SD card as well. If that doesn't solve the issues, take the device to the local service provider for hardware service.

My hp ipaq hx 2790 don't read the memory cards

Are the memory cards of similar size to what you have used before? Some large capacity ones cannot be used. Have you used a memory card before in this device so you know it was working?

Installing the memory card in my Treo 650 cell phone

there's a card slot on top of the device - see pic attached (which shows both - SIM card and memory card slot opened). To open it press down and release dummy card, thenn pull it out and put SD card into slot (pushing it slightly deeper)5deba98.jpg

You can back up your Treo to either your PC or your SD
card. If you back up to your PC via hotsync, then there is a nice freeware which
can be installed to your Treo that is called SyncAll (all one has to do is right
before the sync, open the program and click "force all to sync"), and it will move
all the files, including preferences and such that don't normally get sync'd. If
you backup to your SD card, there are numerous programs for accomplishing this. It
is important that the number of backup-to-SD programs are limited for the Treo 650
due the NVFS file system. You can try THIS ONE for example - it's free.

Dell axim x30

HI You have two ways: 1) Install the ActiveSync (Version 4.2 is recommended) PC Software with your PC first Next, you connect your Axim to your PC. Then you install the software or game into your PC. it will also install into your Axim automatically thru Sync process. 2) Or install the software or games into your External SD Memory card thru USB SD Card reader. Then put your sd memory card into your Axim and run the software or game. The 2GB or 4GB SD Card is reccommended since the game or software sometime is huge. I hope it is help. Regards, pingping
