Hello, I recently aquired a Vivitar DVR-310 camera from a friend, it only seems to be able to take 12 photo's before the memory becomes full so i purchased a transcend SD 2GB card but whenever the card is in it comes on but dont seem to be able to take any photo's any idea why or what i can do.

You most likely need to "Format" your new card as per page 20:
