There is a relay on the under side of the keyboard that goes out. ther is a release on the left side of the keyboard on the cricket expression that lets you remove the keyboard for a tall cutter or something. Turn the keyboard over and take the back off.there is a square area that protrudes from the back of the key board. that's where the relay is. it can be replaced. or bypassed.

I have the same problem but am having no luck getting a new machine from Cricut anyone else get this resolved?

I just got the cricut expression for Christmas, after I did all the necessary assembly, I turned the machine on and it made this a sound like a copy machine when its making copies and than it turned off...and it would do that over and over until I turn the machine off. I would love to figure out how to solve this problem. Thanks.
