They gave it to you when the bought the unit. You will need to find the serial number on it and pay a company to sell you the code. This says 'FREE', but nothing ever is!
If you have lost your clarion radio code or bought a used car stereo, you can still easily ... Almost all clarion radio codes consist of 4 to 5 digits. when your radio ..
The only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
Clean the lens. Use only a special CD lens cleaner and follow the instructions carefully. If that seems intact, (and you feel comfortable doing it) check the traverse assembly (the metal rod that the laser travels along
and the gear that drives it) if CDs aren't recognized or won't play,
frequent skipping occurs at random, CDs randomly get stuck in one spot,
the player can't find tracks correctly, or cleaning the lens doesn't
work. Dust and lint may be interrupting its function.
If that doesn't work then have the laser-head assembly checked by a repair person if the traverse
assembly seems intact and free of debris.
If you have the factory fitted nav then this is an integrated system and you will need to get the clarion repaired. If you give me a call I can advise you how to arrange to have the unit repaired 0161 428 2020
