How do I access the mains cable termination on a Bosch SMS 4462 Dishwasher?

The bottom panel on the dishwasher in question is fixed by four screws, two on the panel itself, concealed by white covers and two more screws under the door hidden away. I have now accessed the mains and I am going to replace the cable, as; after a wash (is this important?) when you move the top drawer back in, the circuit breaker blows.

All that I can assume is that the cable is in someway faulty.

I cannot see any other wires or cables near the point where the top drawer closes and impacts on the interior casing.

Thanks very much for your help.

I shall replace the mains cable as a matter of course and see if that solves the problem. in the meantime, I shall go and wipe the kitchen floor and get rid of all the water that has leaked!

    Thanks again,

    Eric W

You need to remove the 2 torx screws from the bottom panel you will see the cover or junction box on the front right side once the panel (toe kick) is removed

My bosch dishwasher will not drain and makes a humming noise

Humming noise is an indication of your drain motor getting power but not spinning. Either your drain pump is defective and needs to be replaced, or something is stuck in the pump preventing it from draining out the water. Either way you will have to take the dishwasher out and get at the pump from the bottom of the machine.

Water in bottom of bosch dishwasher will not drain. How do I get this water to drain

Dishwasher not draining issue occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. To access the drain pump, please follow the procedure---
1. Drain pumps are mounted to sumps in the front of dishwashers --they're easily accessible from the front of dishwashers by removing toe kicks.
2. Tools needed: small flat blade screwdriver (for unlocking terminals).
3. Remove toe kick/base cover, pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires (using screwdriver to unlock locking terminals).
4. To remove pump, pull latch (on circular collar) & rotate pump clockwise (cw).
5. To install new pump, insert @ 2:00 position & rotate counterclockwise (ccw).
6. Clean water & debris from base, then check float operation.
7. Connect wires, then install base cover & toe kick.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

How do I remove inner door skin to get at latch of Bosch Dishwasher SMS 2012

you dont remove inner door skin you remove outer, screws along both edges will allow outer door panel removal and the rest around the console will allow that to be detached showing the door latch in all its glory.

No manual for my dishwasher

This is not the kind of thing you want to tinker with without a manual. You'll need the model# and serial # to contact Bosch and get a manual.
