Wow, can't wait to try this! Will this solution "sync" my iMac and MacBook? Google also has IMAP, with a similar setup, however I can't get it to work, although others might, if the Yahoo doesn't work. Thanks!

Darn, didn't work unless using the paid service. Google offers the same thing (IMAP) for free. Check www.gmail.com. Thanks for trying!

Hi, just to clarify you are trying to consolidate all of your email to the Mail.app program on your Mac, correct? It's not too tough and I'll let you know a secret. Yahoo normally doesnt allow you to do this without being part of their pay program but they launched "IMAP" support for all free clients.
The first thing you need to do is open your Mail program (The one on your dock at the bottom of the screen). Then click Mail>Preferences> Then click the + sign in the bottom left hand corner.
Put in your name, your yahoo email account (Example AKeech@yahoo.ca) and password. Uncheck Automatically setup my account and click next.
Click the drop down box that says POP and choose IMAP. Replace the info under incoming mail server with imap.next.mail.yahoo.com. Click next.
Check the SSL box and click next again.
Under description put yahoo Replace the information in Outgoing email server with smtp.next.mail.yahoo.com. Put in your email address (remember the @yahoo) and password one more time and click continue. Click continue again, confirm your information and click create.
Your done and your email is good to go.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

HOW TO DELETE SMART FOLDER ON MAC COMPUTER - YAHOO MAIL

Hi Mickie, Where is this smart folder? Is it in Mail or somewhere else?
If it's in Mail you can delete it using the little gear icon at the bottom-left of the mail window or from the Mailbox menu.
If it's somewhere else, just try deleting it.

Every time i try to send an email with snow leopard mail that has an attachment of around 10 mb it never sends. However, if i turn and do it with ms outlook it works just fine. What gives?

OS X mail can be quite sluggish at times. I know it sounds stupid, but have you tried just leaving it for a while? What does the activity monitor/loading bar in the bottom left show?
I have never had problems with this, but if I did, I would use a service like Dropbox or YouSendIt to share such large files.
Hope that helped!

On Mac, not receiving e-mail--everything else works

Hi knittique Sorry to hear you are having problems,
Are you getting any error messages when you check mail ?
I would certainly call your eMail hosting company, don't wait for them to call you back...
Sometimes, a mailbox can get corrupted.
One test you can do is to use this service:
http://www.mail2web.com/
you can see if your mailbox is still active and working.

White vertical line going through my IMAC screen

The line is an indication that there is a failure in the display, most times the failure will be limited to the line you see but occasionally the problem will spread, causing more lines. the only way to fix it is to have the display replaced.

Mail

"Doesn't work" is too vague a symptom to hazard any analysis.
Yes, you can send from Yahoo Mail to Apple Mail. But I'm sure that answer doesn't actually help you in the least.

I suggest you have a voice chat with someone who can help you configure Apple Mail properly.
