Question about Toshiba e830 Pocket PC

Open Question

All data in the 128M SD Card disappeared

That is the second time I found data missing in the SD card, while the SD card is in use by the E830! The card was used in the E550g for 2 years and no any problems. The worst this time, all data disappeared!!!! Just like the card is formated. What's going on? I got the device 2 weeks only, and need to reset at least 10 time everyday, and data in the SD card will suddenly disappeared!!!!!! Is the device defected?

As far as I know there is a big difference between Japanese and European images and you can not compare them at all. If the Japanese image has a bug or if there is some problem that can be corrected with a new update that doesn’t mean that European units needs an update too. Many of your questions are not completely understandable and I can just give you an advice to use a new BT driver (question 5). I have also 1 GB SD card and I use it with my e800 without any problems. At the beginning I thought that it will be read slowly but I am very satisfied with reading/writing speed.

SOURCE: Battery is at 60% but it turns off

As far as I know the warranty is valid from purchase date and the best thing that you can do is to contact service partner in your country. The unit will be checked and I am pretty sure that the battery will be changed.

SOURCE: SD card

Hi There

you need to format the SD card using any card reader and only then you will be able to use your SD Card in your PDA.

All the Best.

SOURCE: My e310 cannot format my sd card

I had the same "error 31" problem when trying to format a 2 GB SD card. I then tried a 1 GB SD card and it worked fine. I wonder if the device only supports up to 1 GB cards?? I checked the user guide and it does not say one way or the other.

How do i recover a deleted file

Do you mean the file in your phone SD card,Wondershare Data Recovery can easily work out it.
Here is the guide:
1. Download and install the data recovery tool on your computer. It's free download.
2. Connect your phone SD card reader to the computer. Open the application, and then select the partition or directory that files deleted or data lost, and then click Next to start data recovery.
3. After a while you will find a lot of files found listed in the list box. Select the files that you want to recover, and then click Next to continue data recovery.
4 Select Path for Recovered Deleted Files.

First try turning on your phone without the memory card. I suspect you have an SD flash upgrade files in the SD card that's forcing the phone to reflash every time it turn on.

If it is still failed, you could try doing a hard reset? But be carefull, you'll need to back up all your data first, cause it will delete all files and data in the phone.

Make sure your card is NOT an SDHC. the HX470x only reads standard SD cards. The largest that I have found is 4GB SD (not SDHC)

Problems with e800BT and com ports

I use an e830 with a Holux GR230 without having any problems. The e830 uses already the latest stack from Toshiba so no need to upgrade. For the e800, hm depends on what kind of BT SD card you use, meanwhile Toshiba sells the BT SD3 card. Anyway, I would recommend to use the latest BT stack from Toshiba for your Toshiba BT SD card.
