This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.

To reset the base unit clock:
- press the OK key
- press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
- press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered).
- The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
- The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
- The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
- Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.

The base unit should now stop flashing "CL".

I cannot access my messages. They are not going to my answering machine base. The red light indicating I have messages blinks but my machine says "0". Where are they? I want them to come to my mac

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system takes messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

The base unit has a flashing light. Why and how

Usually the flashing light is a New Message waiting indicator, meaning you either have a message on the built in answering machine, or you have Voice mail service provided by your telephone service provider. If you have checked both of these and there is no message either place, you need to do the VMWI reset procedure in your manual, if you don't have the manual you can look it up at Uniden.com

My att digital keeps flashing "CL" what does it mean and how do I stop it?

Problem Why is CL ( or C ) flashing in the base message window?
Solution(s) This indicates that you need to set the time and day on your answering system. During initial setup and any time there is a loss of power to the base, you will see this flashing indicator. Consult your User's Manual for instructions on setting the day and time. Manuals for most models can found on this site. Go to our MANUALS section, then search for your particular model.

I have an Wharfedale IN120 Touch Dectr Phone with Answer Machine, on the answer machine display screen CL is flashing, I don't know why or how to clear it.

I have just posted this to answer someone else but will do it for you in case it comes up elsewhere. You need to key in the time and date again on the handset, because even though it already says the time and date on the handset its because the battery has saved the data but the base needs it re installing to date and time the messages. I unplugged mine to move it and thats when it started flashing it took me ages to work out that CL was the clock. Hope this helps I'm sure it will.
