From the sounds of what you are describing aol has advised you to restore your system. basically if you used recovery you may have formatted your drive so all data would be lost

Geezus, with all the steps you have to do to start the Recovery to Factory Settings, how could you accidentally do it? Once you run the Recovery everything you had on the computer is gone. The computer is set back just like it came from the factory before you purchased it. You music, documents, pictures, videos, data and any programs you installed are history.

Connect your Media Player into computer.Download a data recovery software to recover your pictures and music. For data recovery program,I have used Tenorshare Data Recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your media player to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted. By the way,you can download it and scan your media player for free to preview whether your pictures and music etc. can be recovered.Get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm

I dont have the recovery disk for my toshiba m115 s1901 and i need to restore it to factory settings

Hi.

Try this:

1- Power off your computer.

2- Hold the zero (0) key while powering on your laptop.

You should see a recovery menu. Take the first choice.

WARNING: you must backup every pictures, music, documents before doing this. After recovery, all your data will be gone and your laptop will be just like when your bought it!

Hope this helps!

Try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital camera memory card, here are some for your options.

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Musicmatch

All your data/music are store on your Hard Drive (HD). If you got your old hard drive back, you should able to see all your files. Changing your mainboard doesn't effect what you saved on your HD (pictures, music.....) .

As for the icon for your music, you can dowload and reinstall muscimatch, then all your icon will reappear as you saw them before. With any windows system, certain file are assosciated with certain file. ie word document will have a ".doc" file extentsion. Wonce you reinstall Musicmatch, musicmatch will be your deault player thus having your old icons back.
