Your fold out antenna is broke on the back of the unit and you are going to have to purchase a new antenna from garmin as for the speaker going out you can always use the aux port on the unit to play through your car speakers

Garmin Nuvi 360T won't find satellites

Please try going outdoors in to a clear area and walk around for a while to see if you get a satellite lock, it might take a moment.

My 660 is not receiving a satellite signal. Software has been updated and unit has been completely reset. Garmin has offered to replace with lower end unit. Any hope for the 660?

Hello,

If you have preformed all the above then the GPS receiver in your unit is probably dead and you should take the replacement from garmin as the 660 is an older unit and probably out of warranty.

My car is stuck on one location and it won't reset

It sounds like your not receiving satellite reception, allowing your unit to find your present location. Please see this link:

When i put it on, GPS is trying to locate satellites for 15-20 minutes?

Try resetting the unit and also charge it using only the wall charger overnight. Here's how to reset -it just puts everything back to factory settings - 1- Turn unit on WHILE HOLDING your thumb in the lower right corner as shown in picture. 2-Select YES PLEASE Take the time to vote me up this is my only reward for trying to help. Thanks

System software missing

Sometimes when a GPS unit is turned on for the first time or is moved to a new location, it needs to rebuild the orbiting Satellite Database and relationship to those satellites at a specific location. Set the unit on and allow it to sit under the unobstructed sky for at least 10 minutes, could take longer if this is the problem. See if the error message clears, and normal function returns.

Garmin Nuvi takes a long time to Acquire satellite

No. 98% of the time it took 45-56 seonds for your NUVI 660. Thats the compagny set up time acquisition and it did very well.

Be sur you had your flip antenna parallel to earth surface.
660 has THE BEST SIRF Chipset for acquiring satellite.

I had 2 NUVI 660 since 2 years. It work much better than those new 7xx series who it really took 2-3 minutes to acquire satellite.

Be sure you update your version to the last one.

Nuvi 660 not locating satellites

Try this and see if it fixes your problem...first disable bluetooth then follow these steps.
1. Power off the unit.
2. HOLD down the power button and you will see "Pre Boot Mode" appear on the lower part of the display. KEEP HOLDING the power button down and the display will flicker, do this until the pre boot mode message disappears. This seems to take a long time (60 seconds at least).
3. Once the pre boot mode message disappears release the power button and your device will perform some activites to recover from the problem.
