You need to unplug the heating element from the circuit board and using a digital multi meter check the ohms. You should read approximately 44 ohms +/- 10%. If it is out of range change the heating element.
We were told that its a faulty control board on most Rm2852 units. a factory defect.
Ours did the same thing first the gas would not stay on to cool but the unti worked fine on electric...now the electric is not working...the heater gets hot and burner comes on but does not stay on..they system shuts down..and will not cool. .
Dometic refrigerator lp gas electronic Model # 3662. Same problem. gas works fine and power is there. as lights on top of frig work.... not even trying to be cold. Same suggestions as 2652? If your freezer is getting down close to zero degrees (F) then I doubt that your refrigerant is low. The most common cause of the refrigerator section not getting cool (approximately 40 degrees (f)) is a fan that pulls the coils in the freezer into the refrigerator has failed. A very common failure of a cheep little fan motor. Normally that fan is behind a panel in the freezer section at the bottom. Determine where the cold air in the refrigerator section normally enters and the fan will be above there.
