Question about Toshiba Satellite 1135-S125 Notebook
Toshiba Satellite 1135-S125 Display starts to brighten with text for about 2 seconds then goes dark. A substitute desktop monitor display work fine. What could be the problem. Motherboard ? display ? drivers ? Your choice.
Hi Robert: Sorry for the delayed reply. I was away for a few days. In reply to your suggestion, I can see a dim display on the laptop screen when lighted with a flashlight. Since the screen did light up for a few seconds at the start it seems to be a problem with the inverter driver. I did disassemble the screen cover and checked for a loose connection on the inverter as suggested by others. I think right now it is a choice for a replacement lamp or inverter. I'm going to try a new inverter first. Comments appreciated. Joe

Lamp(s) perhaps.... with an LCD monitor (the desktop kind) you can shine a lite behind it. if you can see things on the screen it's the lamps... if you can't it's something else.
