It sounds like you may have a Mitsubishi TV. Am I right? If so remove speaker grill, you will see cables, disconnect..... That should solve concern.... use remote ONLY. Or give model and brand. Also, try to 'reset' the TV. To reset unplug TV for 2 to 5 minutes then plug TV back into power (A/C).
