F2 is usually and indication of drain problems usually something in pump ..have seen impeller on pump shaft come loose and freewheel..remove pump completely 3-4 screws hold pump motor to housing remove them try turning impeller if impeller spins free replace pump ..impeller will usually have some resistance when turned by hand..a free spin on impeller indicates it has come free of motor shaft

Display flashes F 2 at the 1:00 minute to finish time and stops and beeps.

F02 error means if the drain time has exceeded more than 8 minutes. After four minutes suds will be displayed on the screen and again after 4 minutes the F02 error code appears.

Check the drain line for any clogs or blocks which hinder the draining procedure..Use of more detergent can even cause this condition..Be sure you are using only 2 tablespoons of HE soap and not more than that.

Check your drain filter also and replace them if needed. Remove the 3 Torx head screws (located left, center, and right) from the front bottom kick panel of the washer. The drain/filter/pump is right in front.

What does a code F2 mean on a duet washer

I have the Kenmore HT3 front load washer. It was giving alot of SUDS codes and then it progressed into an F2 code. It was not draining of water and it was tacking three hours to finish the cycle. It would start to spint and stop as it sped up.) I opened the door at an end of a cycle and the clothes were soaked, with floating water. after searching a few blogs, I unplugded it and I pulled it out from the wall about 3 feet. Then I pushed it backward at the top I leaned it against the wall were it was just past balanced, while tilted back. The bottom front panel has three nut screws. I removed them and pulled the panel off. Just center in the lower cabinet is a hose that comes down to a trap. The trap has a screw cap about 3" in diameter. Screw counter clock wise until it comes off. You will see in the housing is a tube aka small handle. Pulling gently I worked this piece out. It was a shovel shaped trap filter with holes in it. Ours had string, foam, screws, rock 3/4" round and sunfloor seeds and a lot of gunk. It was packed full. I cleaned it out and returned everthing as it was. The codes have stopped and it is now working correctly. This is a 10 minute fix. best of luck. Do this when you washer is empty of water not full! :) Best of luck.

F2 code... stops part way through cycles.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

F2 & Alarm problem with cloths

Long Drain
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F2" is flashed.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F2 error code will be displayed.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. globul1a.gif Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. globul1a.gif Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. globul1a.gif Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. globul1a.gif If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
These are the possibilities for that error code at one web site:

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. * Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
* Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
* Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
* If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
F2 is long drain.
Just because it came up doesn't mean there's a problem, it simply means there was a failure during the cycle, if it returns on a regular basis, you have a problem.

F2 error could be caused by the over use of soap, you need to make sure your using 2 tablespoons of HE soap, 1/4 cap at the most.
Over sudsing, could cause the water pump to run longer, the pump is designed for 15 min duty cycle which means, 15 minutes on to 45 minutes off. The computer may sense too much soap, and continue to pump. HE soap will cure that, along with SUD error, possible F9 (overflow condition), you may also notice the timing is wrong, HE soap works well in these machines and F/l washer go hand in hand
if the F2 returns the remove the 3 torx screws from the bottom kick panel, and remove the kick panel, right there in the middle you will see a big round handle, turn it and then slide it out, have some towels ready, there will be some water in there, and check to see if you have any thing in there that will slow water flow, tooth picks and other "floating" items may jam the impeller.
