Question about Pentax Optio 550 Digital Camera
I've been using an Optio 550 since its release and I have recently encountered a problem I'm not sure how to change. This past week I clicked off photo Imgp6665 and found that it labeled it as Imgp0001. I don't recall resetting the camera (as a matter of fact all settings remain the same). Have I done something wrong and how can I get it to continue counting photos above 6665?

I have the 555 and there is a place if you look in the manual that you can set things to either stay permanently or change when you turn the camera off...I am sorry I cannot remember offhand what it is called. It is in the menu and I think it might be like User Settings....anyways....one of the options is the picture counter. You can either have it be continuous or have it go to zero each time you reformat the card. Personally, I like it to go back to zero with each reformat, but I know others do not. Anyways, maybe you inadvertantly fiddled with this setting???
