Wow that is the 2nd one i hacve seen today if it is just the cord that is going bad it will need to be repaired or replaced any reputable computer store should be able to get you a new one but if it is the power jack in the laptop where the cord hooks into then it is best to send it into the manufacture of the computer for repairs expecially if there is a waranty mine got sent in for the same repairs 3 weeks ago ya it costed me about 260 dollars because mine was soceted to the motherboard ok hope this is really helpful best regards mike

My charger is lose an it sometimes charges an sometiems doesnt

sounds like a short. could be the charger, but could be the connector on the laptop. does it wiggle at all?

if you isolate the cable (don't wiggle the plugged in part) and move it around, can you cause the charging to stop and start by bending your cable? if so, it is definitely a short in your charger and you'd be best off ordering a replacement if you don't want to deal with the hassle.

The adapter is not charging the computer any more,I have to keep moving the power cord around to get it to charge now it stopped charging?

It sounds like a broken wire inside the power cord - if you can borrow someone else's that would prove/disprove that theory. I'm sure you can order a new one from the manufacturer or perhaps a used one on ebay.

Hi i am having troubl with my power cord to where i have to wiggle it around to charge my laptop what does that mean

The problem could in one of 2 places.

1st: check the adapter on the laptop itself. This part gets very hot causing dry solder points and also the pin can become loose. Check that.

2nd: get a multimeter and check the voltage output on the end as in most cases the wire inside the cord breaks causing a loss of connection thus not powering the laptop up.

If you have to wiggle the wire when its plugged in to the laptop the best place to start is at the laptop adapter.

Good luck.

Vertical white line goning from top and bottom. Help

The screen will probably have to be replaced. Try gently squeezing around the edge of the lcd where the line is present. Sometimes this will get it going temporarily. I have even used close pins before to keep pressure on it to keep it on. A new screen can be ordered on ebay for around $100 and are fairly easy to replace. I recommend getting the exact part number on the back of the LCD before ordering.

Battery will not charge nor is able to use AC power to stay on.

Hi everyone it seems to me that the DC connector is loose inside your laptops, try wiggling it about gently at the charger to laptop cord nearer to the dc socket to verify this.Only solution is resolder or new dc socket.
