Question about Computers & Internet

2 Answers

My HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop computer is 3 years old. All seems good until I stream video and it struggles to play the video cleanly. The internet connection is fine and when using other computers it streams video well on them. Any settings I can change for clean video playback?

Please upgrade your windows media player to version 10 or more. Also make sure your browsing softwares(Internet explorer 8,firefox4) are upgraded. Here is the link for upgrading windows media player http://download.cnet.com/windows-media-player/. Click on download and save it in to your Desktop and install the software .it will upgrade your current windows media player. After the installation just check the streaming.

No, there aren't any settings that can change graphic resolution on streaming video. However, you can visit the following website to update your drivers for your video card:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
There are two options on the website; option 1 is to fill in the info of your graphics card, and option 2 allows the nVidia website to scan your computer's hardware to find any updates needed. Option 2 is probably the safer route. Continue to follow the instructions until you have updated your graphics card drivers. This should enhance streaming video resolution.

How can I stop my HP laptop from making these low, growling noises whenever I watch videos for a prolonged time?

no computer stated, just LT. no OS stated, XP to W10.
there are like 33 years of LT. now. vast HP laptops. made.
2yo old can be, you bought it new, or is new to you but real old
only the model number puts age to it. (for sure)

slow PC, are they not all slow? (some say so,)
"when I watch videos or play games."
what video's DVD, saved MP4s, live streaming videos off the internet, like netfix. or what games, PC solitaire or $60 steam games
or a on line streaming game as seen on STEAM. (free)
we cant guess any of that nor what is BOTTLENECKED.

lets say you said , I have tiny game in my pc that is slow
why? (clear no? lets even name it, Duke Nukem retro)
top reasons.
my guess the growling is inside the headphones and not the HDD crashing. (bad) if PC is new and SSD now's that time to say it
or full pc model.#

1: pc is slow, it was cheap and slow,.(upgrade time) gamers, nightmare...endless.....
2: pc is infected, as most are. reload windows (is it windoz?)(
3: pc has failing HDD.
4: PC is overheating.
5: worse there is always worse. (pretend long story here, endless)

Hp pavillion dv9000 power input jack lights up and power is getting to mother board but it wont power up

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

Rca model f36649 s-video hookup to laptop computer When I hookup s--video cable to tv & HP Pavillion dv9000. I get nothing on tv? I have tried putting tv on channel 3.

Depending on how many hook ups you have on your tv it may have a factory designated channel. Example: Video 1, Game, etc. I know my TV has several different video channels. It's more a matter of trial and error until you find the vidoe channel for your oulet. Input channels are usually found before channel 1. Or look on your remote and see if it has a button to switch the channel to your input channel. Good Luck.
