Question about Sony VAIO VGC-RA810G PC Desktop

Video card upgrade

When I installed my other card, (ATI Radeon HD 3650, etc...) The system refuses to boot, and all fans in the case resort to "full power." The fan on the upgraded graphics card spins, but the case will not boot. (Nothing on screen, no POST beep, and all fans on 100%.)

I thought about perhaps that the power supply (which is a silent 364.7W Delta Electronics P/N DPS-400LBA) would be the culprit, but I'm not sure, and I'm reluctant to start replacing everything in the case (going against original design philosophy of near silent operation, liquid cooling, etc..)

Does anyone have any ideas what all my options are, to get stronger video in this computer, without ripping everything out? If I have to replace power supply and video card(s)

when i put my old card back in it works, it does not support the 6 pin connector either (computer or card). I think it has more to do with the system setup since I have been looking for an answer I've read other forums with people having the same problem but nobody has provided an answer... :(

Can you try your old card? does your card have a 6 pin connector on it for power? Does your power supply have a 6 pin connector for video card power?

I would suggest a new power supply or test the card in another pc if you can. It sounds like either the card is bad, (should beep if video fails) or more likely the ps is not strong enough for the new card. Newer video cards normally recommend 400w and above.

My geforce 8200 can not play fifa 11

Your graphics card is below the game minimum requirements (see link below) I would guess that this was a Dell, HP or other, and yours is basically a stripped down card with missing features, less memory etc. (which is why FIFA doesn't work) Your game also requires shader model 3.0, which will be present in all retail video cards on the list below.

From my information source site:
" Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 7300,8100,8200,8300 and 9300, ATI Radeon HD3200, HD4350, and Intel / S3 integrated chipsets are below minimum system requirement ."

If this is a desktop system, you can upgrade your video card to one of the following chipsets (video card series)
"Recommended Chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce® 6xxx series (6800 or greater) NVIDIA GeForce® 7xxx series NVIDIA GeForce® 8xxx series NVIDIA GeForce® 9xxx series NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 2xx series ATI Radeon X1600 (X1600 or greater) ATI Radeon X1800 ATI Radeon X1900 ATI Radeon X1950 ATI Radeon HD 2xxx series ATI Radeon HD 3xxx series ATI Radeon HD 4xxx series.
If you need help choosing a new video card, please repost your question and include the make (Dell, HP, etc. or white box) and model #. If this is a DIY project then please include as much information as possible about the mainboard, what version of windows, power supply, etc..

Once you know what you need I would check out for video cards. They will have what you need at the best prices...

Feel free to contact me directly if you would like continued help with this.

Ati HD 3650 No Signal

1st. Is it a new install?
If not, then check to make sure your bios on your motherboard is set up to display from your pcie slot and not your integrated graphics if applicable. Also, if your card has a 6pin power plug make sure you have it plugged in.
Also, if you had a different card installed prior, make sure you uninstall all video drivers prior to installing the new one.
