Sales tax is simply a digital factor of a dollar, so 7% would be 7 cents on each dollar. the way to figure 7% sales tax on $22.50 would be: $22.50 X 0.07 = $1.58 for a total of $24.08.

Casio PCR T500. Does anyone know to set up tax so that: - If cash sale, there is no tax added - If card sale (Debit/Credit), I can add tax at once to all sale items (or after subtotal) Thank you

You don't do it at a dept level, you change it at the payment level.
Go into programming and choose key programming. Change the taxable status of the cash and other payment keys depending upon the desired status.

I need to add a tax onto items not previously taxed. I can't figure out how

Each item has a code which sets the item as taxed or non taxed. Look up PLU or department programming (depending upon which type of item button you use). If you need a manual, these guys have most https://the-checkout-tech.com/cashregisters.php

In Restaurant Pro Express how do you program it to calculate sales tax AFTER a dollar amount discount is applied...instead of BEFORE the discount is applied??

Hi Lori,

Here is how it is done. In INVENTORY, create a coupon item. In description, call it DISCOUNT, set to FLAT AMOUNT, check each SALES TAX used, and set amount to a negative -1.00. Click INCLUDE and choose which items or departments this coupon works for. You will need a coupon item for each amount of coupons you have out. This will show the discount amount on receipt and subtract the tax discount.

How do I rename a tax table on my Casio PCR-T2000? I am interested in changing all my registers to the Ontario HST of 13%. Thanks very much.

Use the PGM key and set to PGM. 3, sub total, enter tax table {1, 2, 3, 4}, Tax PGM, 13.00, ca/amt tend, skip to set 'round off/add-on', ca/amt tend, sub total. 4 tax tables are used for the following purposes: table 1 for the federal tax items, table 2 for the provincial tax, 3 and 4 for provincial and different tax table.

Ipod

what do you want to download?
There are two ways.
1. Itunes, install this software on you machine. then you have to add the items you want to put in Itunes library and then rsync.
2. if you have wireless connection and your ipod can connect to internet then you can buy the items(songs etc) directly from itunes.

Once you set the tax rate & the exchange rate, how do you use it?

If you use the calculator to add up a list of purchased items and you get a total, all you need to do is then jit the tax+ key to add the tax to the total. The same applies to the exchange rate. Once you add up the total purchases, then hit the exchange rate key and it will convert the amount for you.
